a very exciting fossil hunting trip, there is a location where there are hidden fossils here, I hope this is a good day, I am happy if you can find unique and rare fossils👍👌
Thankyou ,I throughly enjoy fossil hunting ,I'll be back out very soon ...also father Christmas gifted me a new camera ,so hopefully some better quality videos 😀 happy new year .
@@fossilfox4463 Great, good gift! Happy New Year to you too and look forward to learning more from you. I first went fossil hunting about 60 years ago on a school coastal walking trip with school! Been fascinated with rocks, pebbles, shells and geology ever since. Retired now so time to indulge these interests! Looking forward to your next video, 🤩😊
I've come into this subject very late in life ,I've always enjoyed history and love shells and all things shiny on the beach ...but never quite appreciated the wide amount of fantastic fossils there are to be found .I have been extremely lucky with some of the fantastic finds that I've made in the very short time I've been looking ( since 2019) perhaps I'll do a video on some of those finds as I didn't record at the time ,I only have photographs ( as I was quite in the moment ) It's great have such a love of the world around us .
@@fossilfox4463 Lovely will look forward to seeing your other treasures. I agree, nature is so bountiful and to be on the beach by the ocean is just heaven on earth! Take care and lots of love Dx
Looks like an excellent trip! I ve not collected fossils since I was a child, but would like to take my grandson looking...How do you prep the fossils to expose them from inside the stones?
Some if your lucky enough and diligent are already exposed ,however some can be exposed with a few taps of a hammer ,but the one in the video we used a dremmel 290 purchased from " zoic palaeotech" also fossil prep styli and a lot of time ,patience and tea .I'm sure the more we all practice ,we will indeed reach perfection ! Have a great trip with your grandchild and enjoy the hobby 😀
@@fossilfox4463 Thanks, that's much appreciated..I live in North Wales so sadly don't get Jurassic fossils, but I do know a couple of sites that supposedly produce fossil coral and shells...
I absolutely love shells and corals . Check out my new video of norfolk ,there's a stunner of an echinoid ,the 3rd I picked up that day and it was most certainly worth the wait 😀
Was the holed stone named a 'HagStone'..??? We have beaches full of them around here, I have quite a string of them, and my mates mum has dozens of wired/strung versions. Apparently they are supposed to be lucky, not sure what luck, but hey ho....!!!!!
Beautiful area , very good finds again , and good video work
Thanks 👍glad you enjoyed it 😀
