I had owned this i20 in diesel in 2011 and sold it in 2021 and now i own harrier. But in last 10 years i had a great experience driving this i20. It was a powerful diesel engine in its segment and i totally agree on the all points which you mentioned in the video. And the problem which i felt was the steering. The steering feedback of this car is Nil. There was no feedback of steering on the highways and don't give any confidence. The stability of the car is very bad and unstable. Because this car is good upto 80 kmph only and above 80 kmph the car starts getting imbalance and shakes and the confidence starts losing with this. Overall i20 is just not the right car to drive over 80 kmph. In fact all Hyundai Cars stability and feedback is Nil due to soft suspension setup. And i have experience of this since i have owned hyundai cars like i20, santro, i10 and grand i10. The best part of the car is the design. I really love this i20 and even the elite i20 2nd gen design compared to the current 3rd gen. These days Hyundai 's design has got very ugly. Ab Voh Zabardast Wali Baat Nahi Rahi Hai Jo Pehle Thi.
All companies are going down hill except Mahindra and Tata.
And I also love the first gen design of i20. It feels organic. Love the dashboard. So many buttons like a premium car.
@@SpareWheelOfficial Yess. Absolutely! I totally agree with you on this. Ek Jamana Tha Jab Hyundai Ek Tarfa Zabardast Gaadiyan Banaya Karte They. Ab Voh Baat Nahi Hai Aaj Kal Ki Hyundai Ki Cars Mein. Abhi Tata Aur Mahindra Ekdam Top Class Gaadiyan Bana Rahe Hai Especially Harrier Safari and XUV700 and Scorpio N though I like XUV500 especially the 2018 facelift more than the 700 in terms of design and overall. It was a macho sporty and ek number car. The only issue with the Tata Mahindra is the Services. Woh Thoda Sarkari Wala System Chal Raha Hai Unka Service Center Mein. Otherwise both these companies are simply fantastic and great and very wonderful. No problem at all!

I also have this car 2010 model I have the ABS variant and the braking is good till 160 above that you fell that car is not gonna brake but still stability is so good at 160 and why are you comparing 8 year old car with baleno but then also the quality of this car is still better than baleno
1. I didn't mention what variant of car I compared with Baleno. I compared similarly priced Variants.
2. Baleno is just 5-8% behind in Quality levels. Though my opinions do not count safety and crash test ratings. And in case it scores just 2 stars like Swift, I won't be recommending it in any similar case.
3. None of the Hyundai cars offer Braking Byte which let people know how much brake is physically applied. Hyundai cars without ABS tend to lock up wheels without any feedback.
4. The car is stable in straight line and I have agreed in the video. The car is unstable in the corner/turns and it is upto you if you want to agree or not. Just in case you want to feel what I am trying to convey, drive a Swift or Polo from 2010.
5. Dislike is there in case you do not agree to anything.

Yes after 160 you will feel the steering vibrations .

I am not an expert but I think the car you just saw in this video, is the best one! If you priortise safety over mileage! You get lots of space in this car plus you won't find a better substitute of this car at your budget. Just try to aim for sportz variant of this car!
@@shivamsrivastava3774 Safety of i20 is not that great. And plus the steering feedback and handling and the high speed stability and braking of the car is Nil. Till 80 kmph car is good and above 80 the car starts shaking and imbalances and the brakes of the car is very poor and due to this the confidence starts losing in case of emergency braking on highway. And I am telling this because I have owned this car for last 10 yrs. Overall car is good but in safety aspects there are other cars available which has better safety and steering feedback and high speed stability and brakes. For safety i20 is not the right car.

maruti's hearttect platform is a failure. unstable in GNCAP. swift & baleno are therefore death boxes.

i20 diesel. With 20km/L average for sure. Safety wise bhi best. Smooth steering and smooth driving feel. But more expensive for spares compared to maruthi suzuki.
