Right, I'm going to hit the shops to search out new material.... Mrs F may not be best pleased with yet more trees in the garden. Definitely excited to see where this is going , there may be the GroBonsai book in the end.
Im still new to bonsai amd the more i watch more content i understamd that to nake a bonsai you get a tree make a thick slightly twisted or scared trunck then you make it a bonsai is that how you are supposed to?
The trunk is the most fundamental feature of a bonsai, it gives the tree its structure and character and also is the slowest thing to create and change. So yes I would agree with your understanding
Ok thanks you cause I bought one very young but allready bonsai and wanted to make some in my home I would have made them bonsai too earlly without researching and asking and you answering thanks
Love the challenge idea! I already have plenty of starter material. Don't make me confess a number. 😂 But I'm a Japanese maple lover with a lot of grafted varieties that I am going to make into bonsai anyway. They won't be show quality, but I don't mind.

Great video, brother. Fantastic info, and well delivered. My real question though: who is the brilliant artist? They need a shout out. Is there a place I can view more? 😉 👈🏼is a dad too
@@grobonsai FYI, I am more inclined to watch your videos and support you when I know to look for your kids “Easter eggs” or cameos. Not sure why I respond this way, but I’m betting I’m not the only one
Great video. You're much better in front of the camera than you give yourself credit for. Good to see your videos back as they used to be.
Thank you
A brilliant way to get new people into this fantastic hobby and community. :)

Awesome stuff mate, expertise abound as always, what’s a big box store?

Do you people think a Jacaranda would become a good bonsai?
