Thanks for the chapter reviews of Walden Pond. It helps after reading each one to better understand the key points, especially the ones missed. I first heard to Walden from my Literature class in high school but never really thought of it much. I was curious to read it to see what it was about and I am really happy I read it. This book is thought provokiing and I belive his key point is right in trying to live a simple life though maybe not as simple as he believes. I also suspect he meant each individual has to pursue his own path, avoid conformity in that one does not follow the same path as another or what society think they should follow. It is too bad they do not teach this book in high school, but I can understand why. This book is far beyon most literature books I have read in provoking thinking about life.
