I am new to The Faith having been Confirmed in 2011 at 61 and only learned about The Brown Scapula the other day at St John's Cathedral Norwich, when there was a meeting with a delegate of The Carmelites, which may start up again as soon as it can be arranged, perhaps in the spring. We were told that it would be good if we could say the Lectio Divina at meetings. I's nice to see this info, well done !!!!!!!
I've heard quite a few people ask where they can get enrolled in the Brown Scapular. I'm a traditional Roman Catholic (Tridentine) and our Marian priests do the traditional (full version, un-changed) enrollment. I don't know much about the Vatican 2 church on enrolling people in the brown scapular because years ago I chose to be a Tridentine, but I think it's interesting that those who are Vatican 2 Catholics find it hard (from what I've been hearing) to be enrolled. The priest in this video is very right about the brown scapular and Rosary being inseparable because one must pray the Holy Rosary daily as their consecration to Our Lady as well as wear the brown scapular at all times(around the neck, not on the wrists or kept in a pocket). If one has the time I highly recommend looking more into the brown scapular (either on TH-cam of Google or Bing) and learning more about graces that go with wearing the brown scapular. I never take mine off.
If somebody wears the scapular with full faith but has not had it blessed [or is unaware of the need to join the confraternity] - the graces are not still present- are they?
Although prots claim 2 have a "Personal relationship" with Jesus, there is absolutely nothing personal about ink on paper. Jesus has appeared 2 us PERSONALLY for 2000 years, fed us with the BREAD of LIFE, shared his loving mother with us and given us gifts like the brown scapular and other sacramental, tangible gifts to help us on our journey. Now THAT'S PERSONAL!!!! There is nothing personal abt the prot church it comes from MEN & is an imposter religion & faith
I too wear the scapular, and Mary's protection is strongly felt
I was enrolled in The Brown Scapular on February 6. 2012 by a priest. Thank you for this video.

Thanks for the explanation.

omGOP3 The chance is there, but the blessings are suppose to be done.
It's all faith itself but of cause is best wise to be bless and enroll by a catholic priest .
