So in case anyone ever reads this douchebag OP's ignorant comment here's actually what happened:
Before the raid, the guild asked every rogue to specify whether they were going daggers or swords, so they'd have an understanding who'd be rolling on what. And every Rogue dutifully did so, except one: Grenades.
So come raid day, they make it through the raid and Perdition's Blade drops. Now Grenades decides he wants the item. However, considering the dude did not say beforehand he wanted to go daggers, the rest of the Rogues see this as unfair. Furthermore, the +dagger skill gloves had dropped earlier in the raid AND GRENADES DID NOT ROLL ON THEM. It was pretty obvious this guy never intended to go daggers, but changed his mind cause perdition's blade dropped. Grenades is just there to fuck over everybody and roll on whatever drops. Asmongold listened to his guild and gave the dagger to someone other than a douchebag. Cause that's what Grenades is, a douchebag.
But since redditors are subhuman they started drama over things they don't understand. Asmon was right. End of story.

@@ShadMuffin I don't know if I'd call this being triggered, I just discovered this drama myself and Quplas seems to have a decent summary of what actually happened. It's 2019 drama sure and it doesn't really matter all that much, ok, but if we're going by what actually happened Quplas take is more accurate than not. It's not as simple as grenades won the roll. He won the roll on something that wasn't clear he actually needed, something that earlier he suggested he didn't need, now all of a sudden he does? Yeah grenades actions paint him as an opportunistic needer that shouldn't have been rolling need on that item to begin with. If you honestly think Asmon was being a colossal dick here, than grenades is as much to blame for this for not being clear about his intentions. Even if you think grenades was a gud boi who did notin wrong, his piss poor communication was what lead to him losing the dagger unfairly, not asmon specifically.
Beyond this Asmon is a self admitted ninja looter, so even if he did very obviously ninja loot it, which he didn't, I'm not sure why it would be a big shock to anyone. "Ninja looter ninja loots, community shocked". The fact that so much hate was thrown at Asmon over something so dumb is what perplexes me more than anything.

yea thats not usually how it works in loot council you give gear to your best players first because it will actually make a huge difference in terms of their dps output. Most loot councils give the loot to the people who have spent the time farming their pre raid bis and are putting up good numbers, not the person it would be the biggest upgrade for. Otherwise you give the loot to a middling player and they are still behind on the dps charts compared to a good player in pre raid bis.

Some councils view the raid as a mega-organism and whats best for the RAID is best for the guild.
Giving the best gear to those that already have the best gear is sometimes stupid asf because the 0.2% increase in performance to a top geared player is eclipsed by a 4% increase in performance if you upgrade the lower-geared guildies.
And sometimes lootcouncils are just lootgoblins.

What matters is, that you announced the roll as 'Rogues roll' ... you didn't anounce it as 'Dagger Rogues Roll.' Only after the roll you started with all that 'do you have a dagger in bank' bullshit, when it's a one day effort to get Bonescraper from Stratholme or buying that blue molten core boe from the auction hall for 50G. I was in the same situation as well, nobody cared I was a sword rogue when I won the roll on Predition Blade.
Advertise is fictional, a show character like Boogie's "Francis". He is created to stir up drama around Asmongold and Olympus in a comedic fashion. At least to me, these aspects of this Advertise character seem obvious. The more I see of Asmon reacting to Advertise videos the more I think that Asmon doesn't realize that Advertise is a show character.

What they did to Grenades was out of order. Period. And maybe if loot was distributed fairly, peoples DPS would improve.

Yea but i think the dagger shoulda gone to peach in the first place seeing as he already had the gloves. Peach was already planning on going daggers, had the prerequisite gear, and literally just needed perd blade, grenades was not ready to go daggers if he got the blade. He would only be able to start the transition. What shoulda happened was peach got this perdition and grenades should've been forced then and there to decide whether or not he wants to go swords or daggers. If he says swords, problem solved, if he says daggers he gets the next perd reserved. I don't see how that doesn't solve the issue.
But if your dps is low you need a better item to make your dps better so he deserved the item to improve?
The reason why he did it makes sense. Doesn't mean its ok. Should have declared post raid that everything will be loot counciled due to people rolling improperly. He seems quite intelligent honestly, i think he did it just for views and realised later he fucked up.

Main reason I will never play Classic. Was never fond of it to begin with but with 40 ppl there will always be loot drama for the pieces that drops from a boss. I will say Grenades should have got it tho just based on the facts not even a week before Asmon questioned Royson for not honoring a roll when a roll was called for. If you want to switch to council start it the following raid not on the last piece of gear of the night.
