    Thanks for the realism in your videos, as a contractor all my life I know things don’t always go as planned but persistence and time are the key. Thanks for being real and keep up the great job.

      You are very welcome and thank you for the kind words Tom! You hit the nail on the head when you said, "persistence and time are key."

    Thanks for the honest video. I am just about to start cladding my ceiling. I often feel like an idiot making mistakes when the you tube video i watched made it look so easy.

      That’s exactly why I made the videos! I had the same problem when trying to figure this thing out. Good luck with your build!

    I wish this video was around when I did my build a few years ago. Would have been so much easier than I did it.

    There are hundreds of videos on TH-cam of Transit Connect van builds. I too have a Connect and I have watched them all---hope that helps..

      Thanks Connie! I have watched hours and hours of TH-cam videos as well! Some are great and helpful and some are more just for the show.

    Great video how’s it holding up? Does it squeak at all?

    So you got 16g instead of the 12g for your LEDs and 12V things?

    Hi again! 😊 what size and what screws did you use for your ceiling?

    • @theswansonspot62
      @theswansonspot62  หลายเดือนก่อน

      1.25inch standard constructions screws

    Did you stain the wood prior to install?

    • @theswansonspot62
      @theswansonspot62  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We liked the look of the raw wood, so we did not stain it.

      Im sorry that you are feeling like this. I was there so many times!! I don’t blame you. Hang in there. Take a little break and come back with a fresh mind!

    Oh no! Wait? So you redid your wiring since the wiring video? 😮

    • @theswansonspot62
      @theswansonspot62  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Some of it, yes. I ran the marine grade bonded wire from my pre wire video, but it was so rigid and hard to work with, so I opted to roll with just some 16 gauge as it was plenty for the basic 12v system that I put in.

      Yes, the curvatures of this model are crazy madness. Nothing was straight which lead to so many more challenges than I anticipated. I would suggest getting boards thinner than 3/4 inch if you can so they can flex with the curves a little better. I saw one video a long time ago that used 1/4 inch tongue and groove planks. That would have been great, but I couldn’t find anything like that near me.
