    Great video, but Toyota service repair manual says to hand tight the frame to leaf, leaf to shackle, shackle to frame, and bottom shock absorber nuts, torque wheel nuts and lower vehicle back to the ground and jounce the suspension several times to let everything settle in, and then torque to the recommend torque specifications. This prevents binding of the leaf bushings. The method you performed here could cause the leaf to frame/shackle to bind, a couple rides it will settle sure but it could prevent unnecessary binding of the bushings.

    Ok, so I have been watching a lot of videos on how to replace the lift springs. By far, your's is the best. Thank you for taking the time to put this out.

    Clean install! I like the e-brake mounting location and the effort to make it look so clean, same with u-bolt trimming. Nice job

    Great video, looking at ordering this exact same setup from AccuTune! What cup height did you go with??

      I called them directly and they suggested that I get a spacer size of 1.25". If you're unsure, you could call them too. They were super helpful and answered all my questions. Thanks for watching!

    Also your shocks are too short for your amount of increased down travel, you can see your shock at its fully extended length when you unbolted it. Its not a lot of down travel for the added leaf spring travel you added. You will bottom out and deform the top shock mount tab due to the force of the shock bottoming out and the axle pulling down on the top mount when suspension flexes and droops down. You need a limit strap or longer shock, best would be both longer and a limit strap.

    How much weight do you have added? They are rated for a 2” lift, but the weight ranges are very large and they do not tell height when loaded down. I see you only got 1 1/4” lift tho.

      I originally had a 2" lift with my Icon leaf pack but after getting the camper shell which adds about 200lbs and other gear, I noticed that it was noticeably sagging. I wasn't expecting a 2" difference since I had the extra weight but with the regular gear I have in the back, I still have the front rake that I like.

    Not sure if you already figured this out I just did the install on mine. I used Anti seize on both the outside and inside the bushings. Installed mine no squeaks. Same exact setup with the Accutune bump stops.

      Oh nice! I didn’t have squeaks for the first 2 weeks but after that, I started to get it and then it got worse after taking off road. I’ll have to take mine apart and grease everything. What anti-seize did you use? Do you know if it’s safe for those rubber bushings? Thanks bud!

      I just used the permatex one but I know they say lithium grease specifically is what you want

    @ 3:16 took a pause, get rid or the F ng demo claw nail removal bar right now, it has no place around a machined and polished or coated surface. 2nd who care the orientation of the lower bolt plate, your putting a u-bolt flip in with top plate and bump stop. Breathe ok proceed.

    • @MasterofNone365
      @MasterofNone365  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      If you knew how often people use sharp tools to build the things you use everyday, you'd die from a heart attack. No, I will not get rid of the "F ng demo claw nail removal bar" because you said so. It was necessary and nothing was damaged. 2nd, people who don't do a flip kit will care about the orientation and that's why I mentioned it in the first place. The people who have the most to say are the ones that have the least to offer. Enjoy the free content that people spend hours making or go somewhere else to cry. Instead of making stupid comments on people's channels, spend some time learning better grammar and spelling. Don't make me block you dude.

      @@MasterofNone365 Only thing to watch out for using the claw is gouging the shaft of the shock, which will cause leaks if you cycle that much travel. Good video though. Also note that U-bolts are one time use, so technically when you installed them, torqued to spec, the removed, they were already used up after that first torque to spec lol. But hey, I've re-used ubolts many a times.
