People complain about wanting new original characters, but hear me out: What they are doing is actually really smart. Creating a new character from scratch can take months, but the player base is hungry for new content every few weeks, and the prize map isn’t doing it anymore. They are currently working on a few original characters (such as the ice plant) but while we wait they can quickly put together these characters and satisfy the players. I’m sure they don’t plan on reusing existing AI forever, but as of right now, I’m ok with it.
@Rebeca Donadon has I agree and I wish the community wasn’t so demanding, the wild flower and the zombie counterpart seem like a blast to play as, I’ve always wanted to play as a basic zombie/plant since gw2.

I agree while for me the game is nice , awesome single player maps , cool customizations and Giddy Park , the game has some bugs and for character balance I’m not sure who I’d buff and nerf but sprinting is definitely something they gotta work so if they fix the game and it’s balanced then the game will be way better than it is

I loved my vampire sunflower in GW2, but there is a vampiric ability in BFN... Maybe people just don't know how to load out their characters... Anyway. I still play.

The Cape spin looks op, reminds me of gw2 super brains turbo twister before the mega nurf. Bean needs more normal speed but give him the jumps like rose would be more suited imo. Maybe a charge shot for more damage if hold the L2 button you would do to zoom?
Looking at this I think they'll add more spawnables in the swarm class like the datamined browncoat character (fingers crossed for playable weed that would be awesome) and maybe a boss class for characters like super bean and the datamined hero garg maybe they'll even bring torchwood back.

Im trying to say that a character whose main ability is fight would be a great new addition to the game, like Pharah from overwatch and Boba Fett from Battlefront.
This is super cool and all but they should really replace the warp with a lazar beam (similar to sunflower) coming out of its eyes. And they should replace team shield with freeze breath like Superman
That’s true but I thought abilities can’t be changed only primary and secondary weapons can. But if that’s the case then they should make a legendary upgrade that changes his primary weapon with a melee attack that sorta shoots a mist that freezes you down and does damage and call it freeze breath. (Similar to steam blaster)
I thought of a better idea, keep super bean as a boss and put beta-carrotina and huge-gigantacus in the game as a playable plant and zombie character because seeing them as enemies in PvZ heroes and continue fighting for neighborville in this game would be so awesome 😁

I went with at least two characters from PvZ heroes because you can get so much inspiration and ideas for any upcoming plant or zombie characters in that game and I really wanted to share some of my thoughts, but if that’s the case, I will just hope for the best 🙂

Well well well this is just what i need to make a playable boss superbean just removing cooldown giving him 2500 health and replacing his team sheild with his original one he even has the same model and death animation hes perfect and i dont need to worry about some floaty crosshair! And when i mod him i will reduce his ammo to 4 instas of 30 to make him shoot like the boss and he even has his own slot

Do we have to get him as playable character because popcap games isn't actually adding new plants and zombies. The only new character we got is actually iceberg Lettuce.
I think their creative director left, so while yes there are three original characters being made (Iceberg, Berry Brigade and a zombie named Eric), the team is otherwise struggling to make original characters, so they are using pre existing ones instead. Oddly I think a mini Squash and a mini Gargantuar have been worked on since launch so I am surprised those weren't worked on first in terms of reworking pre existing stuff.
I hope the next plant character is extremely offensive. The plants are way too defensive compared to the zombies. I would love to see a team shield ability, or something else more support-ish, for the zombies
He has a better twirl then super brains aka ANOYING he has the most anoying thing about scientist WARP but wait that's not all hes basically wizards costar buff FOR THE WHOLE TEAM
Super brains twirl does more damage than super beans version and all of this is subject to change. He might not even be a normal character and end up as some sort of horde character
Probably will get scrapped. At the moment this character wouldn't work as an assult class and is too strong for a support. In order to become a support, it must get a MASSIVE nerf in damage or/and ammo amount, not to mention its reload time. I know it's an early wip, but still. When cape twirl and warp are well balaned imo, team shield should be very weak in order not to break the game even more, but if it'll be weak it's useless as ability itself. And making it stronger as more plants will be affected + bean's health. Omg, absolute gamebreak
He's probably a defense character, high hp makes up for his big hitbox and has a shield ability. But his abilites and primary seem a bit broken. Imagine you can just rapidly warp to enemies and do easy 75 damage and warp away like scientist yikes
Can you not make fake booth icons for these characters, just show them of as they are in the files since there is no booth icon for super bean anywhere.

If bosses are playable they may as well make a boss hunt mode where one player is the boss and the other four (or more) must defeat them.

No, TV and Wildflower will be released on late september but will be playable for an event this month. They weren't scratched

Do we have to get him as playable character because popcap games isn't actually adding new plants and zombies. The only new character we got is actually iceberg Lettuce.
I think their creative director left, so while yes there are three original characters being made (Iceberg, Berry Brigade and a zombie named Eric), the team is otherwise struggling to make original characters, so they are using pre existing ones instead.
Oddly I think a mini Squash and a mini Gargantuar have been worked on since launch so I am surprised those weren't worked on first in terms of reworking pre existing stuff.
One question: I can see it shows you play on a Xbox controller, and if it’s the console how do I do stuff like this? Or do you use a pc

I hope the next plant character is extremely offensive. The plants are way too defensive compared to the zombies. I would love to see a team shield ability, or something else more support-ish, for the zombies

He has a better twirl then super brains aka ANOYING he has the most anoying thing about scientist WARP but wait that's not all hes basically wizards costar buff FOR THE WHOLE TEAM

Super brains twirl does more damage than super beans version and all of this is subject to change. He might not even be a normal character and end up as some sort of horde character
Probably will get scrapped. At the moment this character wouldn't work as an assult class and is too strong for a support. In order to become a support, it must get a MASSIVE nerf in damage or/and ammo amount, not to mention its reload time. I know it's an early wip, but still. When cape twirl and warp are well balaned imo, team shield should be very weak in order not to break the game even more, but if it'll be weak it's useless as ability itself. And making it stronger as more plants will be affected + bean's health. Omg, absolute gamebreak

sunflower does 8-10 and same fire rate
He's probably a defense character, high hp makes up for his big hitbox and has a shield ability. But his abilites and primary seem a bit broken. Imagine you can just rapidly warp to enemies and do easy 75 damage and warp away like scientist yikes
Yea, they will likely do some nerfs before he will be fully playable.

Can you not make fake booth icons for these characters, just show them of as they are in the files since there is no booth icon for super bean anywhere.
@Retendo alot of people due to it being stuff that makes it look like it is done when it is not.
It's good that they got rid of the character variants. Now they can think of playable classes not variants.
