Absolutely my favourite yachts, just being tucked under that Hardtop on a night watch with a hot cup of tea and a choc bar is one of my best memories.

You make it look so easy. We know it isn't! I saw that boat in Cannes at the festival. Beautiful. I visited the 40ft HR next to it. It was the only new boat at the festival that didn't make my eyes water from the toxic new boat fumes. That company is really doing something right.

The stuff dreams are made of. Hallberg-Rassy 69 looks and performs like a charm. Thank you.

Good to see a professional team working. Making sure you’re not taking risks with the boat, reefing and putting in to harbour wait for weather to improve. Excellent

And no nibbling Orcas in sight. Makes you think of that old shanty: Farewell and adieu, to you Spanish ladies... ah, well, maybe next time. 😛
Thanks for sharing this fascinating passage.
    Cheers.

“We are charging along at 10kts SOG; not bad” … you are absolutely right, that’s the advantage of the (waterline) length.
Enjoy your sail o/b the beauty and it was a pleasure looking at you guys doing so!
    Cheers, Harry

what amazes me is how silent she is at 10kts. that speaks to very high quality construction and materials.

That's all it would take for "Madame" to be unhappy about crossing the Gulf aboard a 69-foot HR... Ah, ah...!
Whatever your next voyage, the boat is likely to seem very small....
    Thanks for sharing

Kattegat and the straits of Denmark, are not the Baltic sea. The International Hydrographic Organization defines the limits of the Baltic Sea as follows:
Bordered by the coasts of Germany, Denmark, Poland, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, it extends north-eastward of the following limits:
In the Little Belt. A line joining Falshöft (54°47′N 9°57.5′E) and Vejsnæs Nakke (Ærø: 54°49′N 10°26′E).
In the Great Belt. A line joining Gulstav (South extreme of Langeland Island) and Kappel Kirke (54°46′N 11°01′E) on Island of Lolland.
In the Guldborg Sound. A line joining Flinthorne-Rev and Skjelby (54°38′N 11°53′E).
In the Sound. A line joining Stevns Lighthouse (55°17′N 12°27′E) and Falsterbo Point (55°23′N 12°49′E).

If I could afford it, I'd leave and never come back to Sweden. The next typical wealthy HR owner will probably use it for a few weeks in summer, what a waste.

It belongs to Mr Hallberg, he keeps hull no1 of all boats. Presumably not forever. If you can find the Yachting World video on here you can see him talking about it. A lottery win is the only thing holding me back. Nice to dream though.
