i think “counting all the beatiful things i regret” harkens back to “i got the things i wanted it’s just not what i imagined”- the feeling of knowing what you have is objectively good but you just can’t enjoy it cause it wasn’t what you wanted.
i think lacy is more like she was very jealous of lacy and used to idolize her for being perfect like she mentions on the song but when you constantly think of a person this much and focus on everything they do it almost becomes obsessive and romantic which is what i think it’s happening. so idk if u would say she’s in love with lacy cause you could call this confused feelings because the only reason she’s feeling all this, it’s because she think she’s perfect
lacy is about iris apatow her best friend, they complimented each other and she prob say no, ur much prettier and sexier than me, its prettty much over the top interpretation
