My son lives in Madison County, Kentucky, and has a piece of land in Rockcastle County, Kentucky. He finds Geodes in his stream. I'm originally from Tampa, Florida, and by my house, we would find Corral Geodes beside the Ballast Point Pier. We called them Ballast Point Diamonds

I did some geode hunting with @Kentucky rockhounding last April in his location. Some were the size of basketballs. Some Kentucky sapphire too!..I live in Michigan as well, if u ever want to hunt a beach with epic Petoskey and unakite let me know. I have some off the beaten path spots only us locals know.
I brought back 4 50lb totes full of geodes..u soak them in iron out if the rust stains are bad. I have some in my showcase they are so epic!..watching this video makes me wanna go back there so bad. A 2hr jeep crawl through creeks and mountains to get to the spot..absolutely epic!

Some of the pieces you're picking up are 400-500 million year old sea flower heads. If you look one one side is an indent where it attached to the stem and the other side are little indents where the crinoid fossil sits. Hit me up for pics. Found in KY off 75.

I find something everyday , from fossils to geodes , even agate and jasper amongst the chert .
Every creek bed , cliff , road cut and construction site is a potential gold mine .
You even see fossils in the aggregate exposed in concrete .

Noice! btw- I'm a fellow allergy sufferer and the only thing that works on mine is the Maximum Strength Nasal Spray (Oxymetazoline HCI or Triamcinolone Acitonide) I absolutely hate not being able to breathe freely through my nose and a couple squirts can really help relieve that congested, runny, stuffy feeling that comes with it. I know it's not for everyone but if you're having consistent trouble with your symptoms and not getting relief I say give it a try. 6 to 10 hours of being able to breathe free and easy!

  • @dearyayres8583

A few years back the county cut a new road in Shelbyville Ky named “Freedom’s Way”. Anywhere that rock is exposed there are tons of fossils protruding out of it. The various depths necessitated by the roads trail blazing offers-up quality finds from two or three eras. I’m 45 years of age, having hunted rock for the better-part of this lifetime I thought I’d seen all there is to see from my local sources! The mineralization on display at the(as I’ve named it) Freedom Deposit, in Shelby County Ky, is quite different than anything else I have seen. Finding complete specimens is rare even at newly exposed layers. The number of whole examples in which I’ve witnessed there however offer a unique opportunity for anyone interested in the subject to go home with a truly satisfying day of collecting. What truly stands out here besides the frequency of finding complete animals is many of them have been entirely siliconized and are turning up as clear, white , and citron quartz, the latter being the more rare of the three. I must say finding an orange crystallized brachiopod was a find I’ll have a hard time superseding. It’s worth checking out if this kind of thing thrills you! Thanks for the video. You guys are nuts, for real, hope to see you in the field. Happy hunting!
