  • Thomas Keating discusses how humanity is experiencing the renewal of contemplative life, a transformation of God consciousness. This is the project of the gospel, and will have an enormous consequence for the world right now.
From Nebraska Contemplative Outreach and the Jesuit Community of Creighton University, this is the first of three recordings of Fr. Thomas Keating and Fr. Carl Arico at that university in Omaha in the summer of 2004. It was part of a fundraising tour they took across the country upon the 20th Anniversary of Contemplative Outreach, which supports and promotes the practice of Centering Prayer worldwide.

What we are is also what god made us, therefore just as important. Love it all equally.

Wonderful to hear Fr Thomas Keating's teachings alive again, its so refreshing, so true for our lives in God in the Now of day to day life. Thank God for His invitation to share in His own life where we belong for which we long.

If this event is hosted by the Jesuits, then i questions how Catholic Christians it is but how secular universal it is.
The Jesuits have always been at the front of reform in the church.
And the reform has weaken the church and the chaotic faith.
I and Catholic, practiced and was ( really i am) initiated in a sorority path , with a sant Guru. Lots of meditation, lots of seeing for the true God, Lots of community but something was missing, it was Christ.
The path says to practice your religion but to keep the vow.
I like three marriage of Christian and meditation but it does not seem like Christian.
I believe this based on my spiritual path practice.
I don't know if this is what I am looking for.
    Sounds more Universal Unitarian.
