I’ve never been to Lowell or Massachusetts. Do they have the festival in the same place each year? Where is it exactly? I heard that there’s quite a bit of Khmer people in Florida too. They grow a lot of fruit. Can you elaborate on the bamboo story in Cambodia? Coincidentally, I just drove to Long Beach to get some beef sticks today. Lots of yummy food there at the festival. If you are ever in the Disneyland area in California, let me know and I can show you around.

This festival takes place every year in the same spot. Alot of Cambodians moved to Florida and these vegetables came from Florida. Do you have Facebook? Find me and message me there. Same name as TH-cam. Just reference your TH-cam name so I'll know. I'll elaborate on the bamboo story

@heythave a few months back, there was a big headline in Cambodia about a construction worker who stole bamboos from a farm owner. The owner caught on to him and brought him to the head of the village. They cleared the case between the two but the lady owner made him imitate how he got into her farm through the fence and filmed him and posted all over social media. She her crops are always stolen and wants to set examples but the public were furious at the way she talked to the guy who cut the bamboos. People went to aid him financially. The public on both sides are trying to reason who's wrong and who's right.

@@sokhaseesworld1451 She was probably so fed up with all the time that her bamboos were stolen that she took it all out on that guy who may have only done it for the first time. She may have acted like the standard condescending, slightly well-to-do lady boss and was probably verbally very harsh towards him and that’s why everyone was sympathetic. I’m glad that they helped him out. On another note, One More Restaurant in Phnom Penh has an excellent bamboo soup, samlor praheur trapeang with trey ros. Their fish cake is so fresh that you can taste it. The kroeung that they mixed in with the fish paste is just perfect, not too salty and with just the right amount of herbs and spices. Their desserts were not good though. Best dessert goes to Malis Siem Reap for their palm fruit bobor.

@@heythave you told me about the bamboo soup when I was getting ready for my trip. I just had too many people to chaperone and never made it to the restaurant to try.

Yeah, Lowell was very bad in the late 90s and early 2000s. It is so much better now and I love it.
