Sarah, you are the best! I have been a fan since your beginning with HGTV. I loved this and how sweet you were to do it to help your sick friend. I hope he recovered well. I would love if you could make this a regular type of segment. I am thousands of miles from Toronto but still love to see how you spot treasure. I may be building a new home in rural Florida in the not too distant future and wish I could have your help 😀 but I love British Colonial style interiors and a combination of Creole cottage and South Carolina low country exteriors so you’d probably be dismayed. 😀 Anyway, you are awesome and I love your attitude and style. That was super fun Sarah! I just messaged Elle and Eve to buy the white hanging light! It will looks so cute in my sons laundry room. He and I have been watching you since he was small and he’s just bought his first home 🏡 at 21 yrs old. We are having so much fun remodeling it. It’s a 1950’s split level on the lake!

What a lovely thing for you to do for this store owner, Sarah. It wasn't enough that he was stricken with ill health, someone had to put in their nasty two cents worth about what you could afford verses what she feels others could spend, totally missing the reason you did this in the first place. Selfishness comes in all sorts of disguises. Thank you for sharing this gentleman's small business with us and I hope he'll recover soon. I'm sorry to hear Kirill had a stroke, I hope he is on the way to a full recovery. This is such a great idea. So kind of you to send a shout out and support his shop!!! I could spend days in there and a fortune! So much fun in just window shopping too. This is what we like to see, where you shop!!!

If it weren’t for garage sales, marketplace, home goods and friends I’d hardly have any furniture at all! I love a great second hand find - great prices and can often be amazing quality if you know what you’re looking for. Plus - usually no one else will have it!
The only way you would be the only one who would have the item would be if it was custom made and custom made items are worthless.
You can do this anytime and I will watch! So fun! Hope it helped the store owner too.

Sarah- love that you shop at consignment. I was wondering if you could give some advise to homeowners that are looking to have furniture professionally painted or reupholstered. It is hard to know what to look for or how to find someone. I have had a difficult time finding someone who could spray furniture for example. Could make a great post!
