Hey guys. As for you chain issues, we have put the hammer locks and 4T rated quick release hooks. We doubled up our chains to halve the length of the chains. We used the d shackles to hold them in place at the van end. So then if we sell the van or use another car, we can put the chains back to normal and off we go.
It’s great to see you guys taking this so serious. It’s a fine line for the majority of travellers, but yet, so many turn a blind eye to being overweight and just think, she’ll be right. Good luck with your travels.
Top job with the slides mate got to do the whole gas bottle change now our bottles now due so going fibreglass ones two just got new ute so bit panicy our selves T the moment going soft canopy with alloy tray
Hi Guys. I have the same car and having problems with weight only cause its hard to cut down. Thanks as it is really awesome watching what you both do.
We live in our van also . This is our 7th year. I would like to see your hammorlock setup as I have purchased some hooks a haven't installed them yet. In regards to the chain I was thinking to just cable tie them . Good vids guys happy travels .
with. the gas bottles how hard are. the going to be to exchange or get filled again ? i love the idea of them as i beleave there weight is like 1/2 the normal ones . as we get our van this week we would love to try and set it up as light as. we can from the get go ect
@@thewilsonstakeonoz so dose BFC exchange them at there stores or just drop off to refill them ? thinking a drop and swap for time saving would be a big tick while traveling ect. we are Perth based so i might call in to a BFC and have a chat this week . as for servos i. dont think i have seen these any where in WA but i might not have noticed as havent needed. ect . btw happy travels
No they aren't swap and go bottles so they are just refilled wherever we go, BCF refill them Aus wide. It takes less than 20 mins and you just walk in get them filled and wait.. Swap and go bottles aren't great in our opinion because they are generally more expensive then getting a refill, but totally up to you and what works for you!
Well done on the weights guys 🙌🏻
thanks guys, safe travels!

Oh yeh, living in the van changes the game that's for sure! we will share in the next few weeks the setup for you!
Did you end up weighing the slides? Interested to know how heavy they were!
Yeh we did weigh them, they were surprisingly heavy! Each side was 12.2kg.
Are you loading the van all the way to the ATM 3500kg.
yup!

We had issues at bbq garlore but no issues with BCF as they are used to it with the boats. Also Servos are fine
