Just for information - Milton to Hilltop is one of the longer trips in that league. It even means crossing a county line. So maybe 20-25 minute drive.😅
Trust me, you gotta look into the 'Delay Sports vs Al-Dersimspor' case in Berlin. Basically: Influencer founded Club vs noutorius arab Club, escalation & ridiculous court ruling, funny aftermath and also multiple Former Pro Ballers involved like former Wolfsburg and Fernerbahçe Striker Max Kruse. Gonna be honest, I've been to UPSL games and what passes for security at some of them is the buffest dude the owner of the home team knows standing there with his arms crossed.
@@chrissao_502 On TH-cam you can watch games from the first division of the UPSL, NPSL and USSL. The cool thing about the UPSL and USSL is that there is relegation. I like the "underground" atmosphere, mainly because of the "Street Outlaws" series.

The game was a Milton United home game, but being played at Wallingford Town's ground. Not sure whether this clown was associated with Milton United or Hilltop (or maybe Wallingford). I would not blame the stewards or the club. Most of the volunteers are either retired people or former players or match officials who still want to be involved in the game. Clubs at Milton United's level can rarely afford to pay for stewarding beyond giving them training for the role.
Zealand has to learn the difference between steps and levels. Levels starts with the Premier League, steps start with the National League. Kit mishaps are too common, and generally comes down to a lack of communication between the match day secretary and kitman. As a note, we play in red shirts with black shorts and socks. We've had a team turn up in all maroon, which was one we'd been in the same division as for 5 years. We changed to yellow shirts. No delay to kick off. We've had another side turn up with red and black striped shirts, black shorts, and red socks. We changed to white shirts (pita to clean, but the blue was in the wash). No delay to kick off. We've had a side had to go out and buy a full set of shorts and socks after the ref told them navy was too close to black. Fair play to them, they use them regularly now. No delay to kick off We've had a couple of teams have to change their goalie kit at our away matches. We wear red/red/red if there's a shorts or socks clash and inform the home side as soon as they confirm, yet some still put out a red goalie kit. Always fun when the ref has to tell them to change, but kit priority goes home outfield > away outfield > home keeper > away keeper. No delay to kick off.
fun fact: Jersey Bulls FC in the Combined Counties League is the highest ranked team that starts with J in the English football pyramid. Went over manual check and GPT seaech. Try yourself if u don't believe it.
You’re correct. Though they’re not the highest ranked *English* team starting with J (what with the Channel Islands not being part of England). That would go to Jarrow FC, who are in the Northern League Division Two, level 10. But yes, of the English League pyramid, you’re correct. :-)
As a steward in Tier 8 (Runcorn Linnets) im usually tasked with arseholes likes this, but this is an isolates incident as most sets of fans in non league are very friendly.
The cost is a major issue, though. These clubs are run on a shoe string, and going to buy socks for what... 16 (11+5 subs) or so people is an expense that many teams at that level can't just eat. Besides, borrowing kits from other teams has a long history in soccer - France/Hungary at the '78 World Cup is the most high profile example, where France had to borrow shirts from a local club because of a communication SNAFU ( th-cam.com/video/VV4zamhBMlQ/w-d-xo.html ), and it happened in 1997 in the Premier league with Chelsea wearing Coventry's away shirts when they arrived with the wrong kits ( th-cam.com/video/dp50rhOb9DQ/w-d-xo.html ).

so as someone thats done match day security for non-league football here's a little insight.......so at clubs like this, pretty much everyone knows everyone, and all the stewards/security are volunteers, who have no training, also, no back up, as there's probably just one dude. Most people don't want to get clocked by a drunk asshole....... Me, I am a big dude, so was able to just use my size to get people to behave, the stadium manager was a former army sgt, so between us we kept things orderly - was a fun time

Hey Zealandism, we just won a championship in UPSL first division and had 3 red cards and a pen against us. We won 2-0. Our striker scored 2 and got a red as well. I could send you footage if you'd wanna try covering it. Love from Houston.
@Schm1dtstorm it was a crazy game, ref gave a 2nd yellow for kicking the ball after the whistle on 55th minute or so. Then a bunch of yellow cards to us, none to them. We were playing away too. The other team missed everything, our goalie only had to save a few, including the pen. Had a guy get sent off when he kicked a player that run up to our bench 😂 . Then a college CB came in and got 2 yellows in 10 minutes, with 1 of them not even being a foul. We got to lift the trophy at the end though so no complaints atp, but some lower level american soccer games are also entertaining af.
