JB thanks for the great side by side comparison. For me, the AT4 offers a far better value than the Denali and especially the Ultimate. As a person that has owned 6 new GMC trucks since 1988, including HD Duramax Denali's, my next truck will likely be a 2024 AT4 3500 HD. I truly wish GM offered a 3500 HD version of the AT4x. As you know, living out here in Utah (steep mountain grades) and also hauling heavy 5th wheels, the AT4 3500 HD, or highly optioned SLT, looks to be the best option and value for my needs. The $100K cost of these trucks is now well out of reach of most truck buyers.
Have to really love the Ultimate to pay that extra amount. Sure GMC knows what they're doing with the interjors and making the Ultimate's pretty spiffy, but the Denali isn't exactly an SLE truck. My only gripes with the Ultimate is for the $$, the Vader chrome should've been carried throughout the exterior of the vehicle. Another option should've been to allow a full body color option for all exterior trim, which really elevates luxury theme. They're still both beautiful trucks.
Yeah, hopefully for the next gen Denali Ultimate (if GM does one) it'll come with those minor improvements. Beautiful trucks, they just need slight tweaks and they'll be perfect!
I'm choosing the AT4. Mine is gas, which is what best fits my circumstance, but is over 22k less than the Ultimate. 78k is a lot of money for a truck. I don't see the Ultimate as being worth 100k and tbh I much prefer the look and style of the AT4 over the Denali. But if I had to choose between the 2 in the video, I would likely pay the extra for the Ultimate since if you can afford the Denali you can probably swing another 10k.
I bought an 2024 GMC Sierra SLT 2500 diesel in August. With the upgraded package it snickered for 80K and is the same as a Denali for eight thousand less. The only difference between the SLT and Denali is the painted bumper. Payload is 3200 lb on the SLT.
Good comparison. All the bells and whistles give the ultimate a wow factor BUT 1 year later how much of it is going to be used in either truck? The the repair cost once the warranty expires. Our GMC dealer says up north the automatic running boards brake all the time because of heavy ice and snow. The sensors go off all the time due to ice and snow also. A local upholstery shop says the Vented & heated seats very costly to repair. So if your lucky enough to be well off I would buy either
You make great points on the ultimate should come with rear door keyless , rear cooled seats as well. The fenders should also be pained in the ultimate. Also the rear windows should be auto up on the ultimate. Little things i but it’s the ultimate package right ?
The regular Denali would be enough for most, the Denali Ultimate is for those that want the best of the best. Me personally I'd pick the Denali Ultimate, I love the interior color combination and the vader chrome on the exterior. Also, *all* leather surfaces in the Denali Ultimate are real premium grade leather, not just the seats.
I own the 2024, ultimate 3500 Longbox I traded in a 22 GMC Denali long box, virtually identical trucks. I had the $3000 upgraded rims on my 22. I got to keep my rims and swap them out for the ultimate Denali rims. Honestly, the Denali ultimate rims are ugly plus the tires are garbage that GM puts out. I put a lot of miles on my trucks and the comfort in the ultimate is amazing. The seats are what they are made out to be amazing. If you’re buying one, the only thing you should do is upgrade the rims and get better tires.
Wheels on both them r real tough to look at, they definitely could have done a lot better on those. Also there shouldn’t be a blank toggle switch on the bottom of the center console, looks like the power running board button is gone.
I would definitely spend the extra money! It is so crazy that the AT4 is only missing two or three options when looking at the Ultimate. And for 87k it is a much better option than the Denali. I love my 2024 AT4!
Agreed, I just got a 2024 AT4 and it seems like the only features missing from the Denali trim are super cruise (which costs $25 a month from on-star to even be able to use) and massaging seats.
Since the Denali and Ultimate versions are clearly more "lux" etc, do they change anything with the suspension to improve ride quality without sacrificing towing/payload performance?
I’d buy the at4x. Don’t like the the ultimate they should have made everything vador chrome. But they cheaped out and put chrome in some of the worst places. The Denali isn’t bad but the all black interior and the full chrome front pushes my feelings.
Has the steering shaft been updated for 24? My 2021 has that sloppy feel and has the vibration on dirt road’s also u can hear the clunk when cold. The steering feel is just to light
This has been an issue with RAM and Ford as well. I would ask an rv dealer if they would be willing to allow you to test fit on different wheels so you can order a new set. I would also make sure the tire shop knew what they were doing because incompetence is sadly on the rise…
I can’t believe they put a grey headliner in the Denali. That’s something I’d expect in a lower end truck. That’s really disappointing. Both trucks are too expensive by about $15,000
The answer is a resounding NO!! And it is hurting the Ultimates cause when you are comparing it side by side to the best color offered on the GMCs lol. The “poverty” Denali is the much better looking truck of these two and I would guarantee it will get more compliments as compared to that Ultimate lol.
It was mostly gone for a while but since literally everyone went "black out/body color" for a while, that's boring now and Chrome is making a comeback.
I’m a sucker for that type of interior on the Ultimate.

Nice comparison between the regular Denali and Denali Ultimate

GMC & Chevy HD trucks do look good but their full size ones I don't like!.,but with Ford I really do love both their HDs & full size trucks.

I love the Ultimate, they don’t have much difference, with that Big Price tag!!

To be honest I don't know why but those wheels look better on the ultimate the the original danali though once I have the money imma buy both
I believe the power running board switch has moved to the screen, which is super frustrating.
Said it before both are great and I plan on buying both in the future
I hear ya money bags

The Denali does have the “Power retractable Assist Steps with Perimeter Lighting” available as an $1100 option.
I wonder if they changed it later in the year?
I TESTED BOTH VEHICLES AND THE INTERIOR FELT CHEAP AND THIN COMPARED TO RAM AND FORD
Is there any interior accent lighting at night in the ultimate? For example in the foot wells, doors, or cup holders.
No sir, the worst thing about driving these trucks at night…
I’d buy the at4x. Don’t like the the ultimate they should have made everything vador chrome. But they cheaped out and put chrome in some of the worst places. The Denali isn’t bad but the all black interior and the full chrome front pushes my feelings.
I far prefer the ultimate, but agree that the differences are not worth the extra cash. Substantial jump for some cosmetics
Has the steering shaft been updated for 24? My 2021 has that sloppy feel and has the vibration on dirt road’s also u can hear the clunk when cold. The steering feel is just to light
Nice vehicles.
The TPMS from GM valve stems won't fit on my 5th wheel wheels.Any solution that you know for that issue? Thanks for all your videos.

I ttake to

The Ultimate is next level🔥except the wheels🤦♂️
Some people really wanna be paying $20k for that grill 😅
😂
The Denali
I think you may be a little bias 😂
@@JB_WhoWork 😂
My Denali was only 3 grand less than the Ultimate.

🤣🤣🤣
I really hate chrome. Chrome is beyond antiquated, and should have been gone in the 80's. My last vehicle with any chrome was a 91 power wagon.
It was mostly gone for a while but since literally everyone went "black out/body color" for a while, that's boring now and Chrome is making a comeback.
@@SliderFury1100%. Had a midnight edition, trail boss and just went Denali. It's class
