I think I might crap my pants and run away if Iran Barkley was coming toward me with that look on his face. He was really tough and determined for a few years.
I would've been the first to duck Barkley lol
Barkley was too strong and overwhelming, impressive
Van Horn didn't fight a smart fight.. He shouldn't have traded blows with Barkley..
Man, Barkley could crack. That left hook at 16:34. BOOM.
The very epitome of Man against Boy.
The man often loses eg Sonny Liston against Cassius Clay
Or rather Man against School Boy...
Dude, anyone who was keeping up with boxing at the time knew that Van Horn had a chin made of Paper.
@@lemankurtz8950 What on earth are you talking about? Van Horn was only stopped by Barkley. His other two losses were decision losses to Gianfranco Rosi.
@@lemankurtz8950 your a 🤡
Pro boxing was made for guys like Barkley. Pro boxing is 90% bad and 10% good. Barkley is part of that 10%.
IRAN BARKLEY Was out there Repping for NYC!🗽🏆🇺🇸CONGRATS 🏆 CHAMP!
Van Horn is better than given credit for. Still, Barkley made me laugh out loud when he said, "I don't think I would've let this guy beat me if I was drunk!"
The upset in this fight was that Van Horn managed to get up after that first left hook. What a monstrous punch that Van Horn walked in to.
Barkley was basically a cruiserweight who walked around at 190 plus. Van Horn was always around 154-155. No shock here.
No he just lost except it 😢
He wasn't that good in the first place
@@CaseyCook-xs2ob Larry Holmes does not make the top 20 ATG Heavyweight Champions list.
Just wanted to say that I wish I would of had a family relationship with Darrin....my name is Brad Becker ....I'm darren Van Horns 1st cousin....My Mom is Debby Conlee .....His aunt....
Was he not close to his family ?
Barkley got into his head pre fight.. Not only was the size difference a thing, you DON'T trade punches with a guy like Bradley.. You outskill him like Toney did
Tough break, But Thats because your Cerebellum
was affected by the punch and your legs cannot work without its normal function 27:24 .
Van horn was a very good boxer...really talented. Just not enough power to take out guys the size of Iran.
Very good where😂😂 he ain't beat noone significant to make that claim he beat a old Lindell Holmes who was at the very end of his career that's it
@@CaseyCook-xs2ob It's too bad you have no knowledge of boxing, I would love to debate and destroy.
Had no business in the ring with Barkley
Only because of size. Van Horn was a much better boxer than Iran Barkley. Every fight Barkley ever won was because of his power. He had more losses than most fighters had fights. 😂😂😂
@@Drjackdempsey9644what size 😂😂van horrin is just a average fighter excuses as always no one told him to go to super middleweight then if he's so called small no he just gets knocked out when the competition is stronger
@@Drjackdempsey9644van horrin is just a average fighter when he step up he lose size ain't got shit to do with it cause if he beat Hearns van horrin most definitely a easy night
@@CaseyCook-xs2ob Willie Pep is the greatest p4p fighter of all time, not Ray Robinson.
Of course Barkley's success was short lived as soon after James Toney beat the absolute fucking shit out of him for every second of every round before stopping him.
😢😢 baby
Yeah another black fighter though
@@CaseyCook-xs2ob Rocky Marciano is the GREATEST HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION of all time!
is it me or does iran look like a heavyweight compared to van horn
Barkely was walking around at at least 190, the outcome surprised no one. Remember barkley fought with and took former heavyweight champion Trevor berbick to a decision
@yentamoon1808coming up with all these scenarios on why someone lost is pathetic he should've stayed at his weight if it was so called too much for him & even then it wouldn't made a difference
@@CaseyCook-xs2ob Have you not the balls to debate me? I say Rocky Marciano was a great heavyweight Champion. I say that Walcott, Charles and Moore were prime when they fought Marciano. Do you agree?
Pretty boy is a stiff...
Van horn wasn’t a very good fighter he looked like he should’ve been playing golf instead
He was good at Jr Middle. And actually, he beat Lindell Holmes for the title at Super Middle so he wasn't a pushover.
He had a tendency to get wild and it cost him here.
I always love when d** bags who know jack s(@t about boxing trash fighters who have actually accomplished something. Do me a favor if you aren't too old. Go to a gym, step in the ring, and try and fight someone. Then you might learn some respect.
You’re crazy he fought one of the toughest eras in Boxing and retired at 58-3 two time world champion. What did you do?
@@Drjackdempsey9644one of the toughest eras but didn't fight the toughest from that era though so that 58-3 don't mean nothing
@@Drjackdempsey9644A old end of his career Lindell Holmes don't count outside of that he didn't beat Boone significant
Van Horn was always a quitter. He was a great party liaison though.
Yes great
Lol what? He was only stopped in this one fight in a career of over 50 fights 😂
I bet he could knock you out.
@@romowasbetterthanaikman3932 of course he could. He was a pro boxer. What you gonna say next? Rory McElroy can beat me in golf? Andy Rodrick could beat me at tennis? Yeah . . . obviously 🥱 Ypur point?
@@lennoxmate4064 I’m pointing out that you call the guy a quitter behind your computer, but would never do it to his face. That guy was a 2 time champ and only got stopped once in 50 fights. Hardly a quitter. Do your research first keyboard tough guy.
Barkley lack accuracy
He was accurate enough to ko him
