Amit sir..No words of respect can express what I feel. Always learning rivers was a tedious task with mundane byehart. But sir u have shed light on us. Thank you very much.
The quality of the graphics and the short & precise narration of your videos is unmatched on the whole earth. Never ever have I watched such quality videos anywhere. The fun fact is that I have even understood the topics so well which used to make me sleep. 👌
Sir you didn't mention tons river. The Tons (टौंस नदी) is the largest tributary of the Yamuna and flows through Garhwal region in Uttarakhand, touching Himachal Pradesh..the main source is Ruinsara snout , located below Dhum Dhar kandi ridge which leads to Kalanag and Banderpoonch and is one of the most major perennial Indian Himalayan rivers. In fact, it carries more water than the Yamuna itself, which it meets below Kalsi near Dehradun, Uttarakhand..
i literally fall in love with your explaination....i have saw 20 to 30 videos of rivers and its tributaries but never seen the video like ....detailed work, wonderful explaination...YOU ARE THE BEST....keep going ....WISH YOU ALL THE BEST....
Wonderfully instructive video. Minute details are also not omitted. You have given a lucid picture of how complex the Ganga river system. And this video covers only the left bank tributaries ! As a person from the south, many years back I had the privilege of seeing Panch prayag, Rishikesh, Haridwar. I could bathe in Haridwar and Karna Prayag. A few years later I saw Ganga in Varanasi, and Son on the way to Gaya. But Hoogly at Dakshineswar is so polluted that I didn’t even feel like sprinkling it’s water on my head. I felt sorry for the holy Ganga. The devout people also pollute Ganga besides the industries and the municipalities along the route. Nevertheless, I felt that these rivers are the arteries and and veins of Indo-gangetic plains.
The real-time pictures of the rivers and its meeting point piques my interest even more. I wish there were more real-time pictures of the rivers. Anyway, thanks for the fabulous video. It makes learning easier and more interesting.
I can't believe...I got it so easily...all thanks to you and your wonderful explanation...how simple you made it to understand things...really amazing sir
Something I couldn't remember even after reading thrice in 15mins u made it possible Sir.Thank you so much for the effort and making learning interesting for us
I refuse to believe that someone is born with such natural talent of explaining a mind-numbing topic like 'River system', with such ease and in such a captivating manner
Ganga- emerged through confluence of River Bhagirathi and Alaknanda. Bhagirathi- originates in Gangotri glacier, flows through tehri and meets Alaknanda at Devprayag. Alaknanda- originates in Satopanth glacier and makes Panch prayag. * Vishnuprayag- Alaknanda+ dhauli ganga * Nanda prryag- A+ nandakini *Karma Prayag - A+ Pampanga *Rudra Prayag- A+ mandakini *Dev prayag- A+ Bhagirathi Ganga flows through Rishikesh and enters Haridwar and flows Into Rajaji National parks. Then it enters UP at Bijnor, flows through Kanpur , then it reaches Prayagraj meeting Yamuna ( western most right Bank tributary) , then it flows through varanasi, mirzapur and enters Bihar at Arrah, flows through Patna, flows further to enter west bengal and becomes Distributory, one flows through Bangladesh to become Padma and other makes Hooghly and ganga Distributory and finally falls in Bay of Bengal. Yamuna- western most Right Bank tributary, orignates in Yamunotri glacier, and flows through Uttrakhand Himachal border and then ente Delhi, then enters UP and flows through various districts and joined by various rivers, like Chamba at Etah, Sindh, Betwa at hamirpur, ken at chila and then joined ganga at prayagraj. Son River- originate in amarkantak and flows through Chhattisgarh and then enters MP to form Bal Sagar Dam, flows further to join its tributaries, like Banas and gopad in MP, enters UP and joined by Rihand and kanher, and then flows through jharkhand joined by Koel river and finally enter Bihar to join ganga at Patna. Damodar- orignates in Latehar in Jharkhand, flows to enter West Bengal and join river Hooghly and finally falls in Bay of Bengal.
