My Dec 2006 V6 Alphard MZ V has the new extra gears. Its a beautiful drive. Using E5 I'm getting 27 mpg on the motorway and 23 mpg generally. I could probably get more but can't help trying out the rapid acceleration (amazing for the size of the vehicle) Just past 30k on the clock it drives like a brand new car. Fitted with a lithium generator (for mains power) and super fast internet, it feels and looks like "home" on wheels. Love it.
Got a 2002 Alphard 3.0 G bought in 2018. Don u know how long the key battery lasts and how to change? Previous owner said he has never changed the key fob battery.
Thanks for mentioning. My Honda Elysion have extra D3 button which I don't ever use but good to know what to avoid in Alphard or Vellfire if I buy one.
Just subscribed your channel love the alphard videoes mine will be here in December it's a 2007 model can you please tell me how easy is it to source spare parts and who do you actually use.
Great video thanx mate. How much petrol it should consume an Alphard 2.4 on a 100 mile?? I got a 2004 2.4 Alphard and it drinks a lot,i can do 400 miles or sometimes less with a full tank, and im using in D not D3. Is there any idea if thats good or not. Thank you.

Can you please make a video..how to solve..cause I have 2005 Toyota alphard and everything is fine except when it's Park for 1 or more than 1 hours..when I come to start again I will shift the gear to D an wait for 2min or so and the gear is in and the car is moving...the rest of the gear is normal no problem at all except when it's park..can you please help??
I tend not to fill a full tank of petrol but I can tell you that city driving you will get between 23 to 25mpg on a 3l . Long motorway journeys , try 28 to 35 on premium unleaded 5%. Lpg tank holds 50l and that gives me about 220 miles.
Thank you very much. Now I know why my fuel bill has become too high. Thank you thank you thank you. I would tip you if I could. Will come back to tell you if there is a change in consumption;
I am an new owner and abit stuck. I have a 2008 2.4 Alphard. When accelerating fairly quickly the car just revs the red line and stays their. It doesn’t try to change up is this normal ? It’s the first Auto I’ve owned. If not do you know what I need to be looking at to sort this. Any help will be hugely appreciated 😊
It should change up. I didn’t even know it was possible to red line it unless you were in gear 2 or something. Are you sure you are in drive and not four. Also watch my video that I made recently. Subscribe and it should be number two or three telling you what to watch out for when buying a car. It will apply to you.
@@Cuttothechase Thanks for the message just subbed. I did see your video. As the first ever drive I did I was in 3 not D. But even in D to hard a acceleration an it revs hard and bonces of the limiter. This was unintentional I was told in would change so kept my foot down on the accelerator but it never changed. I do have a short clip of it happening. Feels like you have to be very steady on the acceleration anything to hard revs very fast which I’m not sure if it’s lockdown but it doesn’t change.
@@Cuttothechase I didn’t see that one no, it is a higher mileage car, if your smooth with the acceleration no issues just under hard acceleration. Checked my paperwork it came into the country through nippon and own by 2 members of the same family then myself. In miles it’s around 100 000, I think 160 000 km.

if is import one from japan might have 200k on clock
Always get a report on the car done. These cars do hide miles very well as they are very well built
Thank you very much, no wonder my 2008 model was galloping too much petrol
You want be the first not the last. Look forward to the cheaper miles.
Thank you mate had my alphard a year and have been driving it in d3 the whole time 🤦♂️
Oof. That's an expensive call. Well done. You will love it now!
Me too😊I was beginning to think I had a hole in the petrol tank.thanks for you time sharing the information 🙏

Thanks very much, thought it was revving a bit high,, who would have known, 👌
You’re welcome.
My God. Thanks pal, I was wondering why the revs were so high 😂
It’s an easy mistake to make.
Thankyou for that. I just did 500 km in 3 gear. What a mess.
It will be fine. The catalyst will be clean as a whistle though. Lol.

Just seen it in the drive mode.
Really helpful thanks
Thanks for watching.
Can you just leave the car in D and drive from a stop? Or do you have to start at L then row your way to D similar to a manual car?
Just drive in D always. There is rarely anytime in the last 6 years that I have done anything different.

There is a video on it Tanveer. Have a look.
Thankyou sir will try and find it
Many thanks just watched it you are a very knowledgeable and wise person please carry on sharing your knowledge. 👍👍
I have been always driving to D gear in my toyota alphard G 05, is that correct to drive like this
Yes. You can confirm that you are in D by looking on the instrument panel. It will confirm you are in D.
You forgot to say you have to have your foot on the brake to take it out of park. As a newbie to automatics I had no idea 😄
I didn't even know that!. I just thought everyone starts there cars like that.
Thanks for watching the videos.
Hi, thanks for the videos, very helpful! Do you know how to find the spare wheel in a 2007 Alphard?
It’s under the car at the back.

I’m not sure what problem you have. You should just place in D and drive.
Brilliant review can you just move off when gear shift is in 4 gear

2.4 petrol engine it's worse than a lomborguini
Lamborghini engine is incredible. The 2.4 is an incredibly refined engine which is really reliable.
