With the launch of Trials of Osiris in Lightfall, we have also seen the return of some cheaters to the playlist. To credit Bungie, the cheating situation is vastly better than it used to be, but it's still never fun to play blatant cheaters, even when you do beat them... twice. Enjoy!

Honestly. I never get tired of seeing these pathetic cheaters get shit on by stacked teams. Whether yourself, ZK, Panduh, or any other pvp content creators I watch, it's great to see cheaters get shit on by pure skill and knowledge of the game.

Crazy how people talk a lot about these cheaters and don’t bat an eye about a lot of top 500 players who go from a 1.6 to almost a 3.0 in just 1 season……
I did this. I went from a 1.0 kd, took a break and came back 5 seasons later and I got top 0.1% in trials with a 1.9 kd. And a 3.5 kd in rumble. It absolutely can happen.

You love to see cheaters taking the L. Absurd that cheating is still a somewhat common thing. I’ve personally only witnessed cheating a few times but, the knowledge that they exist easily causes paranoia.
Nope happens in almost every match unless your Jake or major streamer you don’t see it as much maybe you don’t know how the cheats work

I tried going with my son this weekend, but it was unplayable as a duo. After losing 10-12 matches in a row, we had to separate and go solo. The cheats were everywhere: mid air snipes that always connected, one taps at full health with Ace, self-res in a couple of matches, teleporting, most obvious wall hacks that deleted us the moment we peeked and vortex grenades that seem to either go through walls or take 30-40 degree turns around corners. The weirdest though were the “Immune” notifications when we hit them with Matador blasts, and….not taking any damage from arc titan shoulder charges using Synthoceps. I masterworked them thinking it would work, but ended ditching them after several matches where I could not even ding their shields.
Sometimes the cheaters didn’t turn off the Zen’s targeting acquisition which gave them away as to what they were using. Massive struggle in general. One funny observation was watching the live stream of True Vanguard. I recognized a couple of his enemies that were 100% hacking, but the matches we’re playing without any blatant cheats. I couldn’t understand why they didn’t cheat and came to a conclusion that…….They didn’t want to cheat in a livestream that would expose them for all to see. Yeah.

I ran into a guy last night with a trials kd of 6.5, for reference Gernader Jake has a trials kd of 2.43
Conversely, I find watching you play cheaters makes very good footage

I had that feeling that I was facing a cheater because of their aim. I even got accused of cheating on the flawless round, I do understand people’s suspicions and I understand bungi is trying to do something about it but they should lock down on cheaters a lot more.

Honestly I really enjoy the matches where you pair against other streamers or hard-core players. Yeah they are slower but it's a lot more seat clenching than watching someone curb stomp noobs all day...

Jug only procs when you have your class ability also I think I stops when you hit something so you can’t pre charge it by running in a corner or up against a wall.
I never play trials and played for a few hours and got 3 pieces of armor. Rip

I usually don’t want to assume that people cheat id like to believe that these people play more than me and are just better but I question a lot of the people in trials bc there’s no way they hit the snipes I’ve gotten killed from or know when I’m going to peak a corner

It's almost like there is a cheating problem because Bungie does not enforce anti-cheating very well in general, and it's so easy to get away with it. It doesn't help that Trials is effectively a really poorly designed e-peen contest that promotes gatekeepers and rewards cheating. It's less of a problem in PVE but still a problem on activities like raids/grand master nightfalls, or in something like the world first run because again, there is incentive/rewards and very low risk of punishment.

Yup experienced it on console, there are good snipers in the game but man headshot after headshot and new exactly where I was I was using wishender to see if he would follow me behind the wall and yup caught someone.. thing is I don't understand cheating on destiny as it basically gives you soft cheats

Crazy they can get away with this, yet yesterday i bought a unlock tool for Modern Warfare 2019 (Not even Destiny, and doesnt help me at all since its cosmetic only) and when i went to play Destiny, i was in trials for 20 seconds then got kicked to title screen and got a "You have been banned" message...... Been playing since D1 alpha, and ALL that wasted bc of a cosmetic tool for a completely different game..... RIP

I think constructive criticism falls on deaf ears when you are playing with Jake, have a cheater in your lobby, playing and talking infront of thousands of people, and already aren't confident in your own gaming skills. Even still, Jake you are amazing for not losing it in this situation.
