As a corrin main, I'm finally going to be able to play her on a real team with the introduction of Caesar, as for me rn I have no other stun units other than Anby so it means alot she scales with impact.
I want to show the world that this clumsy maid is a menace in the right hands.
Big respect, it’s good that this game is mostly skill so if you’re good enough, you can get away with non-meta squads.
Theoretically, if you don’t die and do decent damage, then it doesn’t matter who you play since you can clear every piece of content in the game, so play whoever you like.

I really want Caesar but I'm already running Corin with Qingyi, who plays really well with her.
EDIT: I cracked and pulled for Jane, only to lose the 50/50 to Soldier 11. It's decided then, Caesar it is!
Corin mains rise! But I already have Qingyi so, I wish I could have Caesar as a collection because she’s apart of my favorite faction but due to having such poor ass luck, I can only have one of them so I go for Burnice, I have to wait for a reruns 😭
Honestly, same. In a freak stroke of luck, I got an M2 Jane within 12 pulls from the first one at soft pity. Yet, I’m still pulling Caesar mainly for Corin to have her best team. 😄

Not the only one! My current (2nd) team is Neko, Piper, Lucy, and I'm looking to pull Caesar to replace Piper in the team
Dont worry definitely not a bricked account, don't know who else you have on your account but like you mentioned elemental or anomaly would pair nicely with nekomata to proc disorder. So burnice would be a nice pick up. Caesar seems like a very versatile addition to the team as well
Don't worry you're not the last. My wife got Neko from standard and lost her Jane to another Neko LMAO. We're going to pull Caesar and probably do Neko, Caesar and Lucy/Nicole. Neko still feels pretty good and I think Caesar is just what she needs

If you do then pull for Caesar to buff her team (Caesar Neko + Either Lucy or Nicole
If you dont, pull now for Jane now (to replace Nekomata entirely as your phsyical DPS) or wait until after Caesar for Burnice as fire to invest in a different element.
2 Do you want to prioritize completing SHiryu defense, Critical nodes? (the late game mode that rotates)
if so you should consider replacing Nekomata OR doubling down and saving your pull currency for her W engine in the shop, and trying to get Caesar. Neko is kind of subpar damage wise TBH speaking (as somone who also built her [even with a 5 star engine in the form of SOlider 11s] but just finished replacing her with Jane) but you can still use her in Shiryu defense with enough compensation, (be that skill , good DDs and weapons, or stronger support) for that with things like Caesar bringing both support and stun to the table
If you only want to finish some or no SHiryu defense and dont care about MAXING maxing it every reset, you can just run Neko and save for Burnice or more elemental coverage. (ingoring Caesar entirely, its not that hard a game outside of SHiryu defense and some semi tougher side content.
(Please note it is unlikely SHiryu defense will EVER pay you back enough to pull a single character in under a year (or two even) of maxing it, its really not as important as guides make it out to be, its just the only challenging content in the game so they tend to focus on it., so if you decide to skip all right now dont feel pressured by that)
Neko main here, pulling for Caesar because she's literally the closest to a physical support I'll get for probably a good while. Mihoyo can punish me all they want for playing a non-limited DPS. They'll have to kill me to get me to stop. My loyalty to catgirls is unyielding.
I think Sons of Calydon is going to be my new favourite group in terms of aesthetics and team building since all members are either Fire or Physical, (no info for Lighter yet, but you need to be blind to see his element being anything but Fire).

Thx god i skipped every banner until jane. Now i have a lot of polychromes left, like 220 pulls, so i will go for caesar and burnice to pair them with jane. I was just waiting some confirmation if it was worth to get caesar for those two. Now i shall fear nothing, because even in the worst scenario where i lose a 50/50 an d go to hard pity, i can still get caesar and burnice thx to the free polychromes from the next version 😎👍

Thats pretty lucky i pulled ellen and i used up all my polychromes and all my other currency so i had to start from scratch, i should scrape by getting ceaser. But ill probably be out again.

I could honestly see a team of Jane, Caesar, and Burnice being a solid team. 2 different anomaly characters with a good defense character.
I am skeptical on how good she will actually be with Jane/Burnice disorder team. I find it very likely Seth will outperform her. She does have stun, and lots of damage buffing, but her being physical could easily be an issue with Jane. With the way anomaly is calculated, you would need a very high anomaly investment into Caesar, cause otherwise she is going to reduce the damage of Jane's assault procs by (potentially) quite a lot. On top of that, you will usually be missing the 100% crit on assault that Seth helps out with massively on Jane, as well as his anomaly build up res shred.
I am very interested to see how a Jane/Burnice team performs with Caesar though. It could very well be that her damage buffs and stun frequency make up for the difference. We also have to keep in mind that disorder builds up daze as well, and until Burnice releases, we won't have really seen an extremely high frequency, consistent usage of this mechanic. Overall I am very impressed and interested to see how things pan out with Caesar.
I'm still playing nekomata. Full star the last shiyu defense, ellen one half, nekomata the other half.

I try to make nekomata work but somehow lack of damage. Maybe my Neko sub stat not good enough
She seem to be someone who will be bring every team she is in to about at least 80% effectiveness of fully optimized team....and That is her greatest benefit
High skill billy players finish all content so fast, if you master his mid combo dodges. I think that Billy, caesar and nicole or piper will actually outperform m0 limiteds, if the player knows billy combos
You need his m6…. Like m0 and m6 Billy are 2 different character and that me annoys me since I didn’t pull for Qingyi….
As someone who got 0 copies of Seth in my 80 pulls for Jane, but somehow got Lycaon in the same 10 pull right after Jane, I'd say Caeser is a must pull on my account. Especially since she's guaranteed. Praying I'll have enough for Burnice afterwards, tho 🙏
Burnice and Lucy will be the best team for Jane.

Just another Piece to the puzzle making the Best Koleda DPS team. Koleda,Cesar,Lucy. The enemy will never be able to move
Koleda does ZDPS though...like genuinely one of the worst characters for damage in the game. Insane daze though.
@@Osprey1994 as a player with a C3 Koleda an going through everything with her an Lucy chain attacks they do very well against basic enemies she only struggles against late game shiyu defense. The best part since I'm investing into my Koleda mostly in the Koleda Ben Lucy core (everyone is near max investment) she stuns the enemy right when they get back up allowing me to do DPS she's at like 2700 attack an it's not fast what so ever in comparison to a soldier or Jane or Ellen but it's consistent with speed. I get like 2:18 on late game shiyu defense for example but my DPS team would do 1:36

I was actually thinking of a fire team composed of Lighter, Caesar, and Burnice, as I want to keep my Jane-Seth-Lucy (physical team) and my ZY-Qingyi-Nicole (ether team) teams intact. I got Lycaon and Soukaku, so I'm just waiting for an Ellen rerun for an ice team. With Lighter Caesar Burnice, I'll get my fire coverage team. While waiting for Lighter I might use S11-Caesar-Burnice.
Has lighter been confirmed as a DPS unit? He could be stun considering he appeared to be using a "flare", didn't see a weapon in the trailer.
@@nerdycurls6253tbh i doubt they’d be putting out a stun unit that close to qingyi. anby is the 4* equivalent and she’s already good so some people skipped qingyi. those that didn’t have a really really good stunner, so i’m not so sure if he would be a stun unit
I mained nekomata huhu for my 2nd team. Caesar would be a great add
Nekomata is my first 5*. I do play because she is S rank and deals more damage than any other A rank main DPS agents. Basically I only play her, because I don't have any other options.
For the story mode I plan to run with Ceaser/Billy/Corin.
I've always loved the playstyle of Billy and Corin together (along with a stunner like Lycaon), and Ceaser seems like the natural progression for that team.
Do you think running ceaser, jane and seth optimal? Ceaser buffs damage, while seth buffs anomaly. Wouldn't that be great for jane doe?
I thought of that team and the only reason this wouldn’t be Jane best team is if the shield effect don’t stack so you either loose Seth or Ceasar buff.
That’s the team I want to use too, I hope someone will talk about them

I think Ceasar with a c6 Corin and c6 Lucy will perform really well.
Also, I thought anomaly built up had the downside of splitting the mastery stat between all characters who built the bar up?
Wouldnt that make pairing Ceasar with Phys anomaly units really bad?

@Nevaryedits Rina is probably better overall in terms of damage, especially at a tier 1, so it's a fine team.
However, a c6 Lucy has the advantage of never needing field time, applying her buff through chain attacks, and it extends by 5(plus add damage from pigs) when teammates use an ex up to 30s total, so since Corin has drawn out damage windows and uses her ex for the bulk of her damage, Lucy even if lower dps is way easier and allows more uptime on the other two units.
So Rina is probably better, but I'd still prefer Lucy personally... if you couldn't tell.
If Caesar's supporting a phys anomaly, you can change her slot 4 dist to Anomaly Proficiency. Her buffs are gonna pick up the rest of the slack, and then some.
Great video. Not picking up Caesar but it's just generally great info. She will definitely be a good pick up option for anybody pulling her.
I'm honestly pulling Caesar in the hope she'll be good with Big Daddy lmfao, but for now I'l just run her with Piper and Lucy (replacing Koleda)

I do hope that this hoyo decision means that defense may eventually become interchangeable with stun, instead of focusing on you larger damage window the defense will allow for characters to gbe buffed to deal comparable damage outside of the stun while providing more survival to cover for mistakes in the higher actions per second play style (while enemies can still attack back) at least I hope that was the zzz devs idea when I look at soldier 11 with Ben. Though my view may just be off just because I lack koleda 😅

I got incredibly lucky in my Jane pulls and got Grace in the 10 pull afterwards that I did to get c6 Seth. Im honestly torn on if I should pull for Caesar (I like her design), pull for Burnice (for off field anomaly things), or save my guarantee, esp since I also have Grace's wengine

I plan on putting her with my Ellen in place of Anby. The buffing potential and pseudo-stunner role will fit great imo
imo for Ellen I'll kick soukaku instead of lycaon cuz her flag animation gives me cancer and 1k atk buff already comes from caesar while easier to get with caesar so %25 def shred+%35 stun multi from lycaon better than soukaku annoying play style imo and with caesar we can freely use ellen combo easier chefs kiss faster stun easy buffing and more field time for ellen

So for ice team run Ellen, Lycaon, Soukaku. But for Ellen support team not sole focuses on ice Ellen, Caeser, Soukaku
My account has C1 Nekomata + two copies of her signature weapon and HONESTLY??? She’s fully keeping up with my C0 signature weapon Ellen.
I don’t have any other limited 5 stars so my shiyu defence team has been Ellen, Anby, Soukaku and Nekomata, Piper, Lucy. So far I’ve been able to S rank all 7 levels comfortably! I’m thinking of pulling Caesar to replace my Piper and have some anti-interruption for Nekomata + more damage boosting.

Might not be the most optimal team, but Lucy's boars would get massive buff from both Lucy and Ceasar, and Piper could propably stun enemies while under Ceasar's protection

As someone who mains Nekomata I do consider skipping Caesar, solely because I think that when a physical support comes out, it will be much better for her. Currently she plays pretty well together with Jane so I don’t have much need to get her, maybe on the rerun.

Got Jane really quick, and have enough pulls to guarantee Caesar, but getting Burnice might be a little tricky l if I lose 2 50/50s back to back.
edit: Fortunately I do have soldier 11. So I could upgrade her if I lose burnice or decide to save pulls for someone else, and I already have Lucy upgraded.
HOT TAKE! I think Ceaser is only a side grade for Jane teams compared to M1+ Seth. Jane really wants as much AP as possible and Seth gives a massive amount of AP, and all you have to do to get that big AP buff is defensive assist. Everyone is freaking out about how broken Ceaser is, but if you can already full clear all the content in the game, then she would be a pointless pull. Ceaser is for those who can’t full clear disputed node 8, or mobile players maybe, and of course those who just want to get her. I think the game is already way easy enough and getting Ceaser might even make it boring. That’s my hot take lol
its not a hot take shes a sidegrade. Jane doesnt really benefit from interupt aswell you always wanna dodge with her and shes has no long animation like Ellen Joe.

For ellen team you can yeet soukaku and go with Ellen, Lycaon, Caesar if the info about her giving 1000 ATK on shielded onfield unit is true
I’m not sure what else Caesar gives but soukaku also gives ice dmg bonus so she has her bonus apart from the attack buff
@@theego7524 nearly unconditional 1000atk (not vortex locked) , debuff for 25% dmg increase on enemies and with her signature engine 18% dmg buff for all team members.... so even with M4 soukaku she pretty much provides everything needed and replaces her very easily and for those with M1 Caesar its an absolute easiest swap of life.
Actually CN speculate that Lycaon will be benched and you will use both Ceaser and Soukaku to buff Ellen and Ceaser will help with stuns. Ellen wants all the field time and interruption protection for comboes.
@@kirillphomichov6101 would not trust it that much.. since lycaon provides 50% stun window multiplier increase which is huge and big ice res shred. Sure for mob sweeping stages and maybe lower elite bosses soukaku and Caesar is definitely viable and not bad, but I’ll definitely not put soukaku above lycaon for boss encounters where you dish most of dmg in stun window

Honestly,
You don't drop Nicole or Qingyi for Zhu Yuan
You don't drop Soukaku for Ellen
You don't drop your stunner for Crit DPS in general, especially Qingyi with her insane damage multiplier and Lycaon with his Ice res shred
You can drop Lucy for Jane Doe, however I feel as thought there will be much better Limited S supports that buff damage and/or physical damage even more than either Caesar or Lucy. Plus if you have her engine, the uptime is kept by dodging mostly, so you aren't using a big part of the shield benefit for the anti-interrupt. Unless you go out of your way to use it of course....in which case you're just using it for the sake of not feeling like a sunk cost.
She feels like a no mans land character, just one you pick up to do a few good things if you don't already have limited S ranks or aren't waiting for future stun/support ones.
Also, you can't parry a stunned enemy. So that affects her uptime I would assume.
Is it okay to pull caeser to replace nicole in my zhuyuan/qingyi/nicole team though? I know there will be some dps loss but how much will it be affected? Is it good to have knockback resistant and atk buff replacing def shred and ether buff while at the same time risking to be hurt and canceled combos?

Can you please comment on how viable Caesar, stun and dps will be? For example, Piper, Koleda and Caesar. I’ve seen most recommendations suggest dps, Caesar and support, but given Caesar’s strong buffs, I feel like having a stun before Caesar (allowing dps to tag in after Caesar) is also viable?
Well Caesars shield scales off impact so you should build her for Max impact. So she should be a stun replacement.
It would feel more awkward, it means there is no quick assist in the team. But given that Caesars W-engine (unconfirmed) also buffs your other team members impact (when they dodge counter or defensive assist) then it should lead to fast stuns. But when you are not utilizing Caesar as your primary daze builder she's basically a slightly better Soukaku in terms of power so there's definitely a wasted opportunity using Caesar as well as a stun.
I'm very sad to swap a well invested Grace with Burnice and a Seth with Caesar t--t

I'll also like to add that Qingyi and Caesar will work perfectly together if you want to play Caesar as the main dps (like I will lmao). Qingyi gives a lot of damage buffs overall and is a great stunner, and thankfully Caesars attack and damage buffs are both flat numbers, and don't scale off any stat which means you can build Caesar full crit and physical build without losing any buff strength.
I wasn't sure where Caesar would fit into my teams - Zhu Yuan/Anby/Nicole and Rina/Jane/Seth - After this video I'm thinking about replacing my Anby with Caesar. My Anby is M6, would Caesar be a good replacement for my M6 Anby?

I'm still not impressed with the Defense units because dodge is free. But ngl, her buffs are enticing.
Something people aren't mentioning is that Burnice is basically yelan and the core of her kit is off field anomaly dmg which "could" be done by a A rank ( xingqiu ) where as what Caesar offers would be very difficult to put into a single A rank

If the buff from Caesar is enough, it could outweigh that. We will have to wait a bit longer for a definitive answer.
Personally, I think Caesar is cool, I think she will be strong as hell, but her aesthetic isn't as good as Burnice for me. I'll grab Caeser on her return as long as things work out, but I also have to try and maintain my reserves for Miyabi.

i really disagree with lycaon being better for ellen than caesar, the value that the anti interrupt shield provides for ellen is incredible, ellen really needs that or else you would just play her dodging and never finishing her full combo against high aggro enemies

What about seth caesar and jane? You only mentionned seth as an alternative to caesar but what about using them together?
I would not recommend investing into a soldier 11 if you are really strapped for characters, fire team is pretty mediocre because it's held back by soldier 11 and ben. In a shinyu defense scenario, soldier 11 is hard blocked if the encounter does not have fire weakness. Ice and ether really does not have that weakness as if built well enough, both teams can just sorta steamroll almost any encounter with the exception of the encounter having resistances to ice or ether.
Instead, for new player I would recommend getting ceaser, maybe get a burnice to make a disorder team until there are better option available, or wait and see if lighter is a DPS unit. If lighter is a DPS unit that is a hard replacement for soldier 11 and that will likely be the signiture fire team with lighter, lucy, and ceaser.
Have Lycon but would never use cause no boys allowed so ceasar is a must
