So interesting to watch your progress! I am 56 years old with a cpl and mifr and about 320 hours. Just got recurrent last year after not flying for 23 years while I raised a family. Now I'm thinking about getting back in working, but I'm torn between instructing, so I can be home, and flying in the bush, which would be way more interesting. Stay safe out there!
Still lots of time to get after it! Nothing without some sacrifice it seems. I instructed for a bit. It paid terrible and was not nearly as fun as flying in the bush. I left my wife for four and a half months to go fly in the bush. Luckily, she was still here when I got back.
Absolutely. Everyone has Starlink up there in the bush. I'm wondering when they are going to start putting Starlink chips in iPhones; Internet everywhere.
I had a similar issue with the radio that resulted in a conversation with an FAA representative after I was reported for departing a controlled airport without a clearance. It was also early morning and I was in a shared plane with two radios. I was receiving the ATIS just fine on COM2 but no response to my calls to the tower on COM1. The tower is part-time so I ASS-umed that they were closed this early in the morning. I proceeded to taxi and self-announce as one does at an uncontrolled field. Much to my chagrin, as I departed, I noted a green light gun signal from the tower. Oops! I ultimately figured out that someone had completely turned down the volume on the radio (I have no idea why). When I returned to the field I received the dreaded “possible pilot deviation, advise ready to copy a number to call “. I immediately filed a NASA report and was as humble as I could be when I ultimately spoke with the FAA representative. Nothing more came of it but it could have been much worse. I added a radio check to my checklist. Now I have my own plane and nobody else flies it so this is unlikely to happen again.
I wish I could tell ya. I've been asked not to disclose any locations that have to do with private charters, which I certainly understand and respect. The lake is up in the Smithers area.
Cool video 😎, fly safe

Beautiful landing, sir.
Merci beaucoup
Love following all this progress over the years. Keep the passion brother.
Thanks bud. Always something to look forward to.
Lowering the radio volume a bit too much... Well... Everyone does that at some point!
Sweet corilair hat! Were you in Campbell River recently?
Thanks! I was there in summer 2022 for a visit. I was flying on the Island at the time. That area is awesome!
Love the channel! I’m currently working on my PPL in Victoria with the goal of flying floats commercially. If you are ever down my way say hi!
Will do. Thanks for tuning in!
Would be Sky Link a option for lodges/planes/guides

Bad place to have that happen!
What lake is that?

Find your own lakes lol@@onenutnightmare
I like to mix up of the scenery and you telling us what the heck you're doing.
Thanks! I'll try to keep doing it.
