At 9:29 the "upright phone holder" is actually an Ashtray. It comes standard, and you can get it as an accessory. I don't smoke, so I DO use it as a phone holder!

I'm curious how many commentors will bash this as a "Chinese" vehicle while most likely watching this review on a smart device with a majority of Chinese made electronic components. Volvo is a Chinese car just like Jaguar-Land Rovers are Indian cars (Tata Motors), Mini-Coopers and Rolls-Royces (BMW) are German cars as are Bentleys, Bugattis and Lamborghinis (Volkswagen Auto Group). I guess even Nissan and Mitsubishi are French these days (Renault). No one ever seems to mention the ethnicity of those other brands ownership groups, except for Volvo.....hmmm🤓🤓🤓
I don't mind them being Chinese made at all, that does not mean that quality is low. I do, however, believe the price of Volvo vehicles is too high for the limited exposure they have. They would sell like hotcakes if they lowered the price about 15% or so. Volvos are not full blown luxury cars, they never have been. Personally, I have always viewed them as a safety and practicality brand. I could see them lowering their prices to be more in line with Mazda. Not quite luxury, but more or less a premium, or near luxury brand like Buick.
There's no comparison between a vehicle and a phone or electronic device. I don't depend on my phone to get me to work and back everyday safely. Issues with those things are minor inconveniences compared to the impact of reliability issues with a vehicle. Regardless of what country you consider Volvo cars to be from, there's no hiding the fact that Volvo's reliability has been very poor in recent years.
@@kubi0461 The XC40 is built in Belgium by Belgians and perhaps other Europeans.
