As a conclusion to the video "nd pl" drone filters are not usable because as you said: "as you rotate the filter we change the plane of polarization". So, every time I should put the drone down, turn the filter, on the way I can't see if I hit the polarization angle because the drone is on the floor, pick it up again, fly a kilometer and fly in one direction. Makes no sense. Did I miss something?
Production companies do this all the time, just depends on the level of effort you are willing to put in. You could also apply a generic polarization setting to cover most angles
