Ice Cold Spray Painted Mural Process

I spray painted another mural on my backyard wall, but this time it was during winter. This mural is based off of a penguin a sketched up and the rest was continued from there.

@@SMOENOVA haha I feel the same way! I don’t always use one but I love that it makes my job way easier. When I started in 2006 there were so many rules and so much judgement. I came back into graffiti during the 2020 Covid shut down and everything changed! It’s way more relaxed now for sure

For anybody with a clogged can problem…try floating the can in a bath of warm/hot water for about 10 minutes…sometimes this helps to unclog the can :)

So fresh again, your colors rock! Great job. That stuff with the cans happens when it's cold. Shaking them more maybe helps? Also the paint can dry up different showing some lines or spots. But it's gotten better over the years.

very nice work, love your style. I always find that when cans are clogging, a good shake followed by a 30 second spray, while shaking with an astro cap fitted tends to resolve the issue

Can control means you can rock straight lines, circles etc. Can you give viewers advice on if finger pressure helps increase or assist with can control. Thank you!

Yes finger pressure is a huuuuuuuge part of can control. The other elements are having control with your arm, depth perception, and knowing the distance to hold the can as well as the speed to move the can… haha years and years of practice/technique.

When I get a can that clogs like that I just shake it for a good minute and use an Astro fat to unclog.. usually it’s due to the can just sitting✌🏾

Can you do a video talking about how one can come up with ideas and make cool original characters like you? It's like, every time I try do draw like that I get brain freeze and defeated before I ever begin. I don't know where to start when being original.

It’s tough to explain how to have people think about how to draw like this, but eventually I’d like to make a tutorial on breaking the characters into shape and creating flow. I just have to find out how my brain works before I tell people haha but hopefully soon! 🤞

They were next to a fire and straight from my house 20ft so it was definitely some weird problem with just that color and batch. I also keep hand warmers in the bag they sit in but that was the only color I had issues like that with

Haha not since the early 2000s. Trust me I’ve done my share of pieces with both but when Krylon changed their cap they lost me. Also I can get Montana black cheaper than Rusto these days so I don’t really understand why I would go backwards
