  • This video demos how to repurpose Moog Infinity feed bag parts to attach a squeasy bottle to pump feed for tube feeding.
The target audience is those who
    1) CANNOT tolerate syringe feeds or squeasy direct bolus feeds but need a controlled rate pumped feed and
    2) Who utilize a pump to feed but share my concern about the excessive amount of garbage added to landfills with daily disposal of feeding bags. Of course using syringes for feeds is the best way to go from a waste minimizing perspective but syringes feeds it not an option for everyone.

thank you! I had this video saved and tonight our last bag leaked badly. So I pulled up your video and set up our squeasy to rescue the night.

You can find double sided velcro in about this length at most stores like Walmart, etc. They're used to wrap cables for electronics. Also available in many varieties on Amazon as either "cable ties" or "cord keepers". Adding "velcro" to the search may help fine tune results if needed.
Amazon even had sets in fun and bright colors.

How frequently are you changing out the tubing then? I’m assuming you wash out the squeezy bottle after every feed?

Yes i would wash the tubing between every feed same as a feed bag. I usually throw out the tubing when it gets stiff. It isn't meant to last forever, just to extend the life of a 'bag' so that less medical waste ends up in the landfill :)

I’m in Canada as well but I have a question why you have to pay for feed bags? What province is that? Our feed bags are 100% covered 1 per day. Just seems odd it would be so different between provinces.

Ontario :) we get $1500 a year for supplies and have to purchase on our own. Bags run about $10 each and extensions $25...buttons $200 so most make a feed bag extend for several days if not more

Is there a video for kangaroo pump hack with squeezy bottles

I think you could do the same thing with a kangaroo bag if you had the blue silcone piece to attach the bag tubing to the squeasy?

Would be interested in a hack for the joey pump as well. There is no blue tubing on the kangaroo bags to salvage

If you wanted to trade out for a tubie Togo back pack I could send a few boxes of bags I've been not getting them bc we have so many so I could send a box a month for a few months

Hi Dannielle - We are fortunate and have all of Magnus' gtube supplies including feed bags fully covered through employer insurance plans :) But thank you for the offer! I am sure there are many other Canadians who are not in the same boat though and would appreciate those excess feed bags
