Wonderful Editing :) My heartfelt thanks to Nithya Caleb, Abhishek Krishna, cameraman, whole team of Focus Communication and the staff of Alzheimer Society of Ontario for this wonderful awareness campaign, which will help many thousands learn about the existence of such a disease and ways to reach out for help ! The Alzheimer Society hosted a great event to release these videos in major languages in which they honored the care givers... while our own family forget to appreciate :0) Sadly....this disease exhaust the care giver but gives a great experience to the family to cope up with many different tough situations and challenges we encounter while taking care of such Seniors ! I got the opportunity to take care of both my in laws for nearly 15 years and now I think , it was a blessing ! To me.... this video is a great gift to treasure, as this portraits my closeness with my Mother In Law Indrani Supramanyam :0) We never got the time to do such video with her :( I truly miss her now.... though there were some bitter instances that projected both our attitude as Daughter In Law and Mother In law in late 90s ! :)
Can't control tears every time watching this video. Probably we should take that as God given opportunity to serve our parents as how they served us at our young days. As somebody said Manidha neyem innum sagavillai. Best wishes Uma Suresh. May God continue to bless you and others who are doing this divinely service
Sowmya Krishnan.... Much moved by your encouraging words👍I was blessed though she had 4 children 🙏 I was not used to this & so was upset to face lot of scary challenges. But it created a bonding between both of us later practically... and I am happy 😊
Hats off to the caregivers. These are just unimaginable by their own sons and daughters. Without unconditional love and tolerance by the daughter in law it's mpossible amidst the pressure of the kids and family to be taken care of. God bless
Karpagam C.P.... Heartfelt thanks for your appreciations & encouragement👍In many cases... these old parents are chased away by their own children unfortunately 😔
awesome work by ur organisation. a great work to recognise the service to elders in such a state ----- is really appreciable. kudos for the team. keep going.
Anuradha Narayana .... thanks a lot for your encouraging words 🙏 It's my personal commitment to my MIL:0) Focus Communication tracked me down hearing my service through Alzheimer Society 🙏
Collectively as a family, dementia patients has to be taken care with utmost love and affection and it's a unique disease where care taker should be with them through out. Should appreciate them from bottom of the heart. Which I convey to both suresh and Uma suresh for taking care of their mother for so many years. And real appreciation to Uma my schoolmate who was through out with her mother in law to take care of her. God bless the dedicated family.
Venkataramanan S...touched by your appreciations 🙏 It was a blessing though it was tough ! As you said.... all caregivers must be encouraged & appreciated, but most of the families fails 😔
Need lots of patience and caring for a loved one, especially with the elderly people teaches us many great unexpected lessons - both as caregivers and family members - that leave a lasting impression on our lives. Uma akka I just love the way you are :)
Alzheimer's is a very sad state of affairs for the elderly and much care is needed to keep them safe at all times. The video portrays a very loving and caring family with a wonderful woman who takes care as a caregiver still it is very challenging to be watchful and take care of an elderly for 24 hours. There are many elderly who suffer from Alzheimer's and with proper caregivers and awareness we can keep them in a safe environment. Hope lot of research goes into the cure and treatment of this disease.
Heartfelt Thanks to you Sasha Sasha for your apprecaitions and encouraging words, that would motivate the caregivers :0) My mother in law is no more now but I treasure her memories & strongly belive her blessings will guard me forever ❤ I am kicked out by my loving husband after 25 years of life (I am not perfect !!) But he used me well to raise the family, take care of his parents for 15 years... and now buying all my lawyers to prevent me form going to court ! He forgot the care I gave to his parents when his siblings kicked my inlaws out !! Well... I believe in God & the goodness for doing the good deeds 🙏 Thanks again for your support 😊
