It's amazing how Arin will get a hotdog, start going in the direction of his weiner, and then lose faith and go some random direction away from his wiener
it's not that he loses faith, it's that he is hyper focused on pickups and doesn't actually give a shit about what they do. Just getting them. So if he doesn't see any pickups in the direction he abandons it.

they somehow thought this game was really easy despite not doing well in it, and then they thought Pizza Possum was difficult despite Arin refusing to use the powerups for awhile. It's a good thing GG stopped trying to make games because they don't know how to gauge difficulty at all in videogames
The fact that Arin kept saying "i heard him to the left!" and then 3 seconds later start drifting in a random direction was infuriating lol. Like use the compass 😂
Or like when he was playing rock hard and went north for 5 minutes only to then start going dead south.

I love watching Arin hone in on the Dog's direction, identify exactly where he needs to go, then do a 180 and go in circles.
Watching with headphones. That directionality is for sure important.
A few points, Arin was running in the opposite direction, but wouldn't know because of speaker audio.
he went in the right direction multiple times after picking up the wieners but then he would quickly start running in the opposite direction to pick up items.

I don't know what speaker setup they have, but wearing headphones and hearing exactly how wrong they are with each hotdog is pretty funny.
I swear, from the directions they kept going versus where the sound was coming from, I thought they were using headphones and just had them on backwards!
Dan mentioned in this video they don't have headphones or surround sound set up, so yeah they didn't have much to go off of
@@Penquinn14I'm on a tablet with stereo speakers and I heard clearly the direction every time. I think they have their speakers pointing at them which basically ruins any kind of stereo effect
The soft rain and music mixed with arins attempts at meditation was actually really chill especially with the Dan shenanigans in between lol.

Man, Dan is such an awesome friend. Imagine being in a room with someone claiming to have made their own toilet paper by crumpling up computer paper and STILL voluntarily spending time with them.
You know what else you can carry around with you in your bag for emergencies where the toilet paper has run out? Toilet paper.
Note: Do Not Put Computer Paper In Your Toilet. Even if it is all soft crumple, it does not dissolve properly. Pretty much a one-way ticket to a backed-up toilet.
Note: If you hate your job and coworkers you should put computer paper in the toilet. Just make sure you don't get caught.

Computer paper has a coating the regular paper to prevent smudges from ink. Stop try to flood peoples toilets. A great boon for plumbing services. But no.

This game had no effort put into it. Arin trying to rationalize during the latter half that "there must be some kind of strategy to this," only to be met with the yawning emptiness of this game's design, giving up and eating lunch was very relatable for some reason.
That’s what I’m thinking! The game seems to be built solely on pre-made assets and any “art” that’s showed is blatant AI, like look at that hotdog…
The extra hard mode felt like "i photoshopped Waldo out" trolling

A large part of the assets is yes. So I wouldn't be surprised if the entire thing was just AI genned scripts.

I love these grumpy boys but Arin's brain really does make games like this one much harder than it really is, which makes for the infuriatingly memorable videos we love so much.

Ai art is best with these small no budget indie games. The dev could of also used free vector graphics instead, really doesn't matter it has the same level of quality.
As a western colloquialism, Zen is often understood as Arin portrayed: an attempt to bring the self and others into a harmonious, peaceful mindset. BUT, Zen as it's understood in the east would be seen as the peace found in Arin's natural chaos. No attempt to change the flow, just the beautiful do-happening.

He's got a more landmark or sequence of turns based navigational approach that works pretty well in horror game corridors but really sucks for dead reckoning in the forest. I would bet he didn't even notice he had a compass the whole time as the reason he didn't use it

Rabbits totally punch. They repurpose their digging moves and attack with little "pap pap pap"s. It's completely ineffective but rabbits are kind of famous for being the most non-threatening animal in existence.

The capybara is the most non-threatening animal. It's so non threatening that predators who should eat it will instead just hang out cause... it's too chill and they don't know how to handle that.
