EOD Captain Breaks World Record for 1-Mile Bomb Suit Run

- Capt. Kaitlyn Hernandez, company commander of the US Army's 717th Ordnance Disposal Company, broke the women’s world record for a 1-mile run in an explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) bomb suit. Hernandez shattered the record Saturday, April 3, just before noon with a time of 10 minutes and 23 seconds.
“I couldn’t be more excited,” Hernandez told Coffee or Die Magazine. “I feel like I can breathe for the first time in a long time.
“It’s been a long time coming. We’ve been trying to put on this event for about 14 months now. The fact that it’s done, it’s over, and I achieved what I wanted - I’m just so happy.”

she is 136 and the suit weighs 85 pounds. she is an absolute unit peak human performance what a bad ass. she's EOD.. she has sawdust in her veins..fearless and strong. watch out for this one!!! EOD plays for keeps!!

The next question is what is the weight of her suit? She's not a large woman so she's probably wearing a small suit vs a man wearing a large suit. The weight does matter.
