Chartchai Chionoi - Was a Thai professional boxer, WBC world champion and WBA world champion in the flyweight division. He took the WBC World Flyweight Championship two successive times and the WBA Championship one time before finally relinquishing it. Chionoi lived a comfortable life in retirement with his wife of over 45 years, spending as much time as possible with their four children. Despite some lasting ill effects from his years as a boxer, he had fond memories of his career, and no regrets.

Chartchai Chionoi was a tough and relentless fighter with good punching power who held multiple wins over great fighters in a fantastic Flyweight era. He won both the WBC and WBA belts during his reigns as champion and is most definitely one of the best boxers to ever come out of Thailand. He was given the nickname Little Marciano of Asia because of his aggressive style and powerful right hand. www.patreon.com/haNZAgod

When I think I know something about this beautiful sport, I open history books, find out about these hidden gems of the fighters, and it makes me humble

Nice job making the highlights of Chartchai Chionoi, who was one of the greats out of Thailand along with Khaosai Galaxy and Pone Kingpetch. It's nice to know about his swarming style and his best punch was his powerful right hand. I hope one day that Chionoi gets inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame to join Galaxy and Kingpetch.

Hope you cover more fighters from this golden age of Flyweight division. Such as Ebihara, Guty Espada Senior, Beutilio Gonzaez, Shoji Oguma, Efren Torres, Venice Borkhorsor

Chartchai Chionoi 3 times world champion WBC,WBA,the ring.
chionoi and Kingpetch were two real fierce beasts Chionoi fought 13 times with world champions.
And Kingpetch 7 times with world champions, both have been in the pound for pound, Chionoi almost 10 years ranked in top 10 were 8 years pure, Kingpetch 10 years pure, Both fought 4 times to boxers in the pound for pound to see the competition that was in those times in the small weights Kingpetch fought 4 times with hall of fame should be more but the hall of fame takes time to put those real beasts, Chionoi fought 2 hall of fame, Kingpetch was inducted this 2022 in the hall of fame and Chionoi years ago.
Chionoi won 3 world titles until the ring wba wbc and the same with Kingpetch but he won 4 world titles 🇹🇭
    Those beasts were killing everyone

Actually, Kingpetch was inducted this year in 2023 not last year unless you were thinking from past December of 2022 that the IBHOF had inducted Kingpetch into the class of 2023. Also, like Chionoi, Kingpetch won 3 times as the World Flyweight Champion. However, good to know about one of the great Thai fighters in boxing history.

What a tough warrior. His first fight against Efren Torres is one of the best fights in the lower weight division. Also his fight against Masao Ohba.

Does anyone else think boxers of this era almost resemble mma fighters in their punching technique and form? Maybe it’s the smaller gloves and willingness to slug it out
