Michael and Adam, this car is worth a second review. More test driving, show us more features. I'm sure many of us would like to hear a test of the different driving sounds--silver waves, vivid flux.

@Casey Herman well, most of us know these aren't designed for conversational speaking just simple commands. When you add words that aren't commands like please, etc, it isn't a person, it's a command. He just doesn't understand the timing of talking and the commands over conversational speaking.
Michael is far too pompous to handle a review like this on his own. Quite obvious from the previous clip we would want to hear the different driving sounds.

A big complain in the EQS it's the exterior design, that resembles an Honda Accord. But it's a great start to Mercedes-Benz in the BEV luxury market.

@@SectionATE617 I think they went with this design for aerodynamic reasons. But wouldn't be surprise the upcoming facelift, would look more as the S-Class.

Using voice controls in cars, means it takes 3x longer than just the driver pushing a button. Seams a backward step.

This dude Will is by far the best salesman I have come across: knowledgeable, helpful and polite...simple and straight forward. He is not overdoing or undergoing anything making the presentation so natural ...Impressive!
Not really: he talks a lot of baloney about what's under the hood "A hepa filter that kills a lot of diseases and bacteria they don't want you to access". This way he doesn't have to talk about that badly conceived thermal system that takes up too much space. His talks may fool your average car buyer - sorry Michael, you don't know much about cars - but not anyone with a genuine interest.
@@blondiebxl So If you were the one selling, you would start telling the potential buyers about your perceived "weak" areas like a certain "badly conceived thermal system that takes up too much space?" He is pitching to us with an intention to sell ...not reviewing the pros and cons.. Mat (from Carwow) , Doug DeMuro and others will do that...He is a great salesman.

He could have addressed the frunk situation more elegantly: “Owners can’t open the bonnet because underneath are many of the drive train, safety and luxury systems that provide the EQS with the smoothest and most secure ride for and electric car.” That’s true and it’s no mumbo jumbo about hazard filters that just put scary thoughts in a buyers mind.
@@blondiebxl Chris the reason you are giving here for EQS frunk not being accessible to owners is wrong.Underneath is a HEPA filter that takes a massive 10 liter space With 600 grams of activated carbon,( with an adsorption area equivalent to 150 football fields and a cleaning capacity of 9.82 dm³ (liters, or 2.6 gallons), checks for the CO, NO and dust both inside the car and in the incoming air in( from outside) .Filters as much as 99.0% of particles . Its massive as it is impressive. The complexity of the filter and its filtrates warrants that it only be opened by an authorized expert.
In order for the customer to understand, the salesman was presenting the reasons in a layman way when using terms like disease and bacteria filter. He did not lie because basically that is another way of putting it. Imagine if he would go into the technical side of it which I believe he would if pressed. Again, your reason is not true.
10:19 Instead of saying ”take me to a nice resturant” you can say ”Im hungry”. I love the MBUX system, I use it for everything in my Mercedes: radio, climate, navigation etc.

The test drive consisted of Michael being ignored or misunderstood by the car. Maybe take Adam along with you next time 🤣

Good luck when you are stuck in a snow storm and you watch your battery going down before you have no heater! I drove this ones little brother, had a range when I started of 240 miles, I'd done 19 miles and my range then said 190 miles. Gamble if you travel any distance! Soulless.

Thanks for this look at the Electric Mercedes. A more luxurious alternative to a Tesla. Torque can be MINDBLOWING. Once you get used to driving an electric, you will find all other vehicles too loud! Such convenience to being able to plug in at night as well.

Tesla is stuck for years at level 2 autonomous driving, the EQS has level 3 and further range. The Mercedes is way more luxurious and way more reliable. Consumer reports put Tesla 27 worst reliable car out of 28 brands.
Nio ET7 1000km (621 miles) range, EQS (485miles), Plaid 396 miles, KIA EV6 620km (385 miles).
The NIO ET7 150 kWh Li-ion and EQS beat any Tesla yet in range.
And EV6 and Ioniq5 already have more range than their Model 3 and Model Y competition and the two first have 800 volt battery technology charged in 18 minutes while Tesla cars are still stuck on the older slower charging less effective 400 volt technology.
The upcoming EV6GT and Ioniq 5 offer same acceleration as Tesla performance with slightly better range for 10000 dollar less full options with a 7 year warranty.
And via adapter the EV6 and Ioniq 5 can recharge other cars or power electric tools (for camping for example.
Tesla falsely labelled autopilot is under scrutiny.

They went strictly for aero dynamics. FUN fact : This is the most aerodynamic car on the market at the moment. This is how Mercedes managed 340 miles of electric range for its first car.

Nail on the head, electric cars have a place maybe in city’s but engines give you emotions, electric cars are emotionless and once you get over the novelty you will regret getting one, imho, especially for that kind of money.

On a serious note MB should insist on new owner training to introduce the speed and self drive aspects. No one is going to convince me that the size and number of ever chaging screens is not a driver distraction! At one point Michael is not looking where he is going for some considerable time too busy looking at the big screen!!
