The home plate umpire was calling everything on the corners a strike whether the pitches were on the corner or off the plate all night long. The pitch before Castro singled in the go ahead run was clearly a strike with the entire ball in the strike zone and the umpire blew the call. The Sox would have been out of the inning and seven runs would not have scored. One bad call=7 runs.

He was calling the inside corner (first base side) all night and he wasn’t calling that outside corner at all. Plus when the catcher sets up low and inside, and the pitch comes high and outside the Catcher has to reach for the ball and it makes the pitch look like a ball. Bad calls both ways

Why would he play Eovaldi tho? Best case scenario he pitches a quick inning and is ready, albeit tired for G6. But after that massacre the only way he could pitch more than 3 innings is in G7.

Why does Buck sound so muffled? Why is the quality so bad?

Talk about one of the biggest blown strike 3 calls there is, Nate throws an absolute FLAWLESS strike 3 pitch and doesn't get the count to a dude who watched it and didn't swing. Send him to the dugout, we should have gone to extras SMH.

Anyone notice how many hits the astros had on the 1st pitch?
They need to start being more aggressive.

So much depends on whether the Boston pitchers turn up!
