    Should tell stories about proper fishing etiquette while recording your next demo. Too many individuals don’t understand that when a fish is “on” and coming your way, give way …….

      That is an idea. 😆

    Good rig for a slinky. If using pencil lead, I like to crimp it onto a dropper line tied to the swivel. Score around the lead with a pocket knife and bend it til it breaks off, it'll keep the hollow core open. Best for when you expect to snag gear, the lead will pull off.

    • @apoutdoorsPNW
      @apoutdoorsPNW  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's another way. But I don't use Hollow Core just because I like to get as much weight as I can, with the small amount of pencil lead possible.

    Hey brutha man I just found you on TH-cam! Happy to find ya and was curious as to if you'd be interested in having some company on the river. I've never fished the Puyallup before but it sure does look fun. However I also want to learn the etiquette before I try to do so....

    Would you suggest the sliding setup with 30lbs braided line? I have been using a snap swivel tied to my braided line or a three way with a weight attached to a small 15lbs leader, then a separate leader running to the hook. But, I am running into issues setting the hook. I feel like it may be because when setting the hook I am having to pull the weight first. Watched a different video that said the sliding snap swivel would prevent this. Just wondering if it would be better to do with mono vs. braided or if that matters? Just worried if I do the free running snap swivel on my braided line and I get snagged it will be more difficult to brake off at the barrel swivel.

      Yes I like 30lb braid or 40. The only way you are going to break off your leader is if you get the leader hung up. Now if your weight gets hung up with braid you will have a better chance if pulling it out then mono. When I use mono during a hook set I can feel the stretch and it makes me feel like I'm not getting a good hook set. With braid when I set hook with the sliding system, I feel it slam into the fish No Stretch. Test it out find out what works for you. Good Luck out there.

      Thanks for the tips. One last question I forgot, do you recommend the corkie to be right up against the hook or above it? If above about how far?
