My man, I think changing a bit the timing of the notes in piano roll will help your midi sound way more realistic, i'd also suggest panning some notes left and right for extra width :D
That's really well done ! I use to do the same kind of process to create my own samples but I struggle to find good vocal samples (for example like in Nice for What - Drake or Int'I Players Anthem - UGK). Do you know where to find good vocal samples ?
Try looking for some old very underground rap a capellas. like krs-one or No I.D. You can also either look online for royalty free vocal samples or if you are a quick learner and if you have a decent mic you can just record your own voice doing or saying whatever shi you want no matter how random it is you can get some pretty good hits/sounds out of it.
The video is about how to make your own samples that sounds ripped from a vintage record, and most vintage records use a bass, simple as that. And cutting out bass with an EQ doesn't necessarily remove the movement and articulations from the bass since it's still present in the mid-range.
Hey J, obscure question but how did you get your eq 2 to show the frequency like that? I can't seem to find anything about it anywhere and I'm getting sick of the pink lines
Amazing, love the nostalgia video editing. Would love to see your take on a Tyler Creator Beat.
He has done that tho no?
Oh idk I’m pretty new here to this channel. Haven’t gotten around to the older stuff.

Haven't watched your videos in over 3 years and I'm glad to see just how much you've improved as a producer and content creator, good stuff! ✊
The drums in the final beat is too damn crazy. What a clean and slapping drums ♥️♥️♥️
Great tutorial, an actual walk-through not just a self promotion which is what a lot of tutorials are these days
Good Music theory......is key to all sample creation😌
Nostalgic vibes 4sho
great example of trusting the process
Man watching your process is inspiring I've got to start making more Rnb melodies!

Your videos give me inspiration
Dude nah, you give me a feeling of you being one of Kendrick Lamar's producers😂😭💯💯💯❤️❤️
such a sick vibe my man this is an amazing sample!!! where did you get the accents? I need a pack like that in my life :)
🔥🔥🔥 bro
That's really well done !

Pff banger man brother!
The sample is fire 🔥🔥
Damn, that's 🔥
The Among Us joke at 1:13 got me
love it!
Sounded like that song from the Kendrick Lamar EP at first
Do a J Dilla type beat
Good beat.
🔥
if walter white cooked fire beats instead of meth
Hey, the intro is amazing. can you show us how to make something like that?
Do nami/coop the truth next
👏👏
You should make a how to remix (take acapella and put it on a beat you made)
Same bpm same key, easy as that
Do you think It’s better just using mpc it’s self then using inside fl or other way around
🥶🥶🥶
💯💯❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
Where'd you get that Accent pack from?
In the next video can you make a emo rap type beat like staysolidrocky party girl beat
And a Spacey type beat like Travis Scott ⭐☄️✨💫🌌👻🚀🛸
Damn that was dope alllll the way up until the drums 😞
6:24 where did you get those accents?
Feels like a drake beat off NWTS
Transpose your keys to make them sound realistic.
I love it, but why add a bass to the sample if you’re only going to cut it out and add an 808 after with the drums? 🤔

@@jesperhasselberg4841 thanks for that! Makes sense. On its own it is a great sample and covers the whole frequency spectrum.
Bro how is the mpc with your work flow inside fl
How do you strum?
Anyone know the name of the beat playing in the intro?
anyway i could use this beat? i would kill it
Razer laptop ?
Which Kontakt bass did you use here?
I believe its the scarbee rickenbacker bass. It's a really solid one anyway Kennybeats uses it!
Rien ne remplace le vinyl
learn something new e'ry day. Never did that reverse chop and re flip trick. usually use sliceex, play with the envelopes and chop that way.
I feel like Nipsey Hustle would have killed this beat too
Damn bro you look like noah "40" shebib
That middle chord is kinda sus
this beat sounds more like some early 2010's Drake than Kendrick tbh
Hey J, obscure question but how did you get your eq 2 to show the frequency like that? I can't seem to find anything about it anywhere and I'm getting sick of the pink lines
Update your fl
Sad 😭
Among us
Sus chord lol
Funny how we now call compositions 'samples' bruhh
Day 2 of asking for a owl house type beat✨
