The heart of CAC performance improvements on all AG aircraft is the CAC Pressure Cowl - designed to maximize the most clean air to the turbine aircraft engine. More clean air to the turbine yields more power in all conditions, temperatures and altitudes and dramatically improves the lifetime of heat-critical parts in the turbine engine. Cooler temperatures experienced by the turbine translates into lower short-term and long-term maintenance and eventual overhaul costs. Higher performance resulting in more work accomplished per hour creates the most dramatic financial benefit, however. With rising fuel costs, better fuel efficiency from a cooler-running turbine working less to get air into the engine is an additional added benefit.
