- Castle Rock is a great place to live...for MOST people. Today we're talking not just about the pros of living in Castle Rock, but what it is about this town that makes my clients say "NO WAY" to Castle Rock. Why do they rule it out?
Hi! I'm Alyson, a full time Realtor® with Keller Williams DTC. My family and I are long-time Coloradans (husband and kids are native...I'm the lone transplant). We have moved and relocated out of Colorado and back and even bought a house by FaceTime tour WAY before that was common.
I am married to a Coach, have two amazing kids, and three adopted dogs. Give me coffee and you'll see me smile. Coffee in the mountains is even better! I love getting in a hike with my family when we can.

This is 100% spot on. We backed out of a house we were under contract on in Castle Rock bc of the power lines, and lower elementary and high school ratings. Chose Backcountry in Highlands Ranch instead and are so happy we did.
Great spot to be! Just helped some folks get a lovely home on Flowerburst on Backcountry. I think a lot more buyers will find powerlines will be something to watch b/c that land was built *around* before and will be built *near* now as the land gets built out. I live there very expensive, jobs don't pay to keep up-to-date with cost of living
We moved to Castle Rock from Parker two years ago. We LOVED Parker but couldn't find the right house to move to. We are over 50 with no kids and we have a house that has that perfect view of the Rocky Mountains. We enjoy the more peaceful area and the little extra drive is not an issue to us whatsoever. However, if we had kids we would have never moved here because of their highly political school system.
