    Really great video.
    I will need to look at setting this up.
    I have a very long list of checks in specific order before during and after an SU upgrade.
    This I assume is all done in the background and makes this much easier.
    Be great if works with Unity and UCCX as well.
    Thanks

    I`m planing to upgrade from 9.1.2.10000-28 to 12.X using PCD. Do I need to change the VM specifications before to starts or this task is made by the PCD too?

      I've not done this upgrade with PCD as of yet so I am not sure. Here are two things to keep in mind (there is a bug for the second one, but I don't have it readily available at the moment):
      quickview.cloudapps.cisco.com/quickview/bug/CSCvt84937

      @@PatrickKinane1 Hi Patrick, great videos love the content. I just recently spun up PCD and trying to get a fresh install of CUCM going on a new ESXi host (improved resources, isolated from other vm's etc). Is there a way to pull the config from the current/existing CUCM Publisher/Subscriber and deploy onto the new host? Existing and new host are both discoverable by PCD.

    Cisco Prime and Cisco prime collaboration deployment
    Are both same? Or different applications?

    I'm assuming these are the same steps for an upgrade from 11.5 to 12.5?

    which one is better ? PCD upgrade or manually individually upgrade..

    • @PatrickKinane1
      @PatrickKinane1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      axxo axx I think the PCD approach is best, but it isn’t as reliable as upgrading without PCD. Once you get PCD working though, it’s amazing.

      @@PatrickKinane1 Why PCD is not as reliabile as upgrading without PCD? may know it... where is the issue comes...
      i want to know ...

    • @PatrickKinane1
      @PatrickKinane1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      axxo axx there are a number of different issues that can come. But not always. Whenever you add a tool or anything to a process, there’s more points for possible failures. But PCD is a great application and it is free. I highly recommend it, but just understand there may be issues.

      @@PatrickKinane1 our company dont have cisco smartnet at this moment and will go for it after some months bcos of budget issue
      . we need to upgrade from 11.5.1su1 to 11.5.1su8. so im worried not to make issue if go for PCD option. i need to know most reliable option in this case to proceed. thats why..

      @@PatrickKinane1 i found the issue. i think it happened bcos of dictionary word. but when i shutdown vm and then tried again. it never start from scratch. it continued from where we stopped. i thot its starting from scratch. then i rebuild the cucm vm again.

    Good videos Theres not much videos regarding monitoring UC like integration and set up Solarwinds for SNMP traps Solarwinds ect.. That would be a unique video suggestion.
