In the throes of today’s suddenly ramped-up pain, with my brain herniating and slumping out of my skull, yet knowing I’m called to encourage other suffering sisters in Christ in ministry? I was so “dis-couraged” and God knew I needed this beautiful and specific reminder. Thank you, Joni and all your team of friends! 🙏🏼❤️
Praise God for Ms. Joni and the strength He gives her everyday to inspire those of us living with a disability and to educate those Christians who shun us because of it.
@@yvonnegill1382 Be careful that you don't give yourself an outlet when you are severely suffering. There is trauma dumping when you get in too much of a cycle of complaining. But then there is suppressing and feeling you are never allowed an outlet to just tell someone, it's really hard, and I'm suffering. How am I going to cope w/ all this? We need that too, from a trusted friend or family member, or a spouse sometimes. If it's more serious depression or long chronic illness, we might need counseling.
Thank God for people like you you have encouraged me again today on my birthday I have been feeling so very down lately but God used you to lift me out of self pity once again. God bless you and your husband you both are beening used to bless all of us who face Insurmountsble suffering and pain ❤❤
Oh Joni, I so needed to hear this! I have allowed my focus on chronic pain and some loss of mobility to deter me from getting up and showing up in many instances. You have reminded me that it's all for Jesus and I need to be in the thick of the battle with you, armed with His strength and armour! See you there! 🙏❤️
Thank you, Joni, for this powerful message. I'm a polio survivor since the age of two. Next month, if it's God's will, I'll be 70 years old. With every passing year, my condition seems to worsen with age. Sometimes, I want to give up, but I think about my beautiful daughter and two beautiful granddaughters, and I get up to wrestle with another day. I have adopted Philippians 4:13 as my mantra "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." I'm sure you know that scripture very well. Your message in this podcast helped me understand the "WHY" of it all. Why does God allow suffering? He uses what He hates to accomplish what He loves. Joni, thank you for answering that question through God's word. May God continue to bless you and Ken.
I'm not sure if this would help you or not but I thought I would offer it just in case... I have found for me, when I am suffering mentally, I remind myself of Jesus and all of his promises and I rehearse them over and over again and I end up praising him. It helps me to move past my mental infirmities and change my focus in my perspective. I hope this blesses you and gives you encouragement. 🙏
God bless you sweet Joni. This has been one of the most powerful messages I have ever heard spoken. You are that inspiration to me, and to so very many, many others. Much love to you dear Joni. You are to me, that burning bush, that is not consumed, that I, for so many years, have looked to, in amazement, and found such comfort, and encouragement in, along life's journey. You, Joni, are my Hero. Much love, your sister, in Christ Jesus, from here in Tennessee 🙏🕊❤
Everything we do down here on Earth, every little bit of drastic obedience. Every time we trust God and obey Him in the midst of our trials, as hard as though they may be, we are increasing our eternal capacity to worship and serve God with joy forever and ever. -Jonathan Edwards
Amazing!...you inspire me Joni. This life is not easy, but I am glad to have brothers and sisters in Christ to walk though it with. God bless Joni and Friends!
WOW!!! Thank you Joni 😊 I so needed to hear this today. I woke up and tuned into TH-cam seeking something from God to help me get up and going and your message was the first thing I saw 🎉 God knows I was having doubts about promises I had made to Him about plans for this week so He once again used your faith to bolster mine! 🙏🙏🙏🙏 that you have a Blessed Day!
Thank you Joni! Your life has so encouraged me to see what God is doing through pain!! Thank you for showing up all these decades so we could all be encouraged and comforted to be faithful in our pain and trust Jesus!!❤
Wow Joni what an inspiring talk!! I'm not physically disabled but I've had a number of life changing experiences but you have made so much sense of the days and years that people didn't understand and that only my Heavenly Father knew about....'If you've got big needs you're going to believe in a big God'....I learnt that my God could do so much more than I could think or imagine! How I praise him each day for all He has done, is doing and will do! Thankyou Jesus!❤!
Thank you so much, Joni!! My sufferings are different than yours. But your talk helped me so much this morning. It enabled me to have a good cry that was needed. Now ONWARD!! Yes! To do all for our "FRIEND", Jesus.❤
Overwhelming broken heart, disabled chronic pain physical issues my husband abandoned me depression crying alot. Staying in God's word daily. You are an inspiration you for your messages and devotionals
Ellen, we are saddened to hear of the hardship that you're enduring. Our prayers are certainly with you. If we can encourage at all, please reach out to our Response team at response@joniandfriends.org. We would love to pray with you and offer spiritual encouragement. God bless you!
So good Joni. Your message has spoken to me as I am so tired of the sufferings of this life but I need to remember why we suffer and to become more like Him.
Wow.....wow....wow... Joni. I am really inspired greatly by you. I am currently reading one of your books Joni - An Unforgettable Story. May all the glory be unto the Lord God Most High. God indeed permits what He hates to accomplish what He loves. This statement may sound like an irony but the the first terms of reference would be The Cross...... of Our Master Jesus Christ. Forever we thank you Lord Jesus. AMEN ❤
It is an ironic statement but it is so how God operates! He helps us through hardship and makes a beautiful result out of the trial and mess in our lives, AND he gets all of the glory! He truly works things out for our good!
My brother in law has wrecked his motorcycle and broke his back. He went through surgery and they put a back brace on him. He can't feel his legs and 😢he doesn't know Jesus. So whoever will, pray for his salvation. I will be joining you on the battlefield all you who struggle with disabilities. I have some issues with anemia and pain and havevto ride a cart to shop but I also know its a hard road that leads to life.
Sarah, we are praying for your brother-in-law! Lord, lead him to you and to repentance. Allow him to open his heart to you and the precious work you did for him on the cross!
JONI I'VE FOLLOWED YOU FOR AWHILE. I BELIEVE IT WAS D.JAMES KENNEDY I WATCHED OTHER MINISTERS. I WISH I HAD YOU TO TALK TO I HAVE NO FAMILY I WAS NEVER MARRIED SO NO KIDS. I'VE NEUROPATHY & TIMES I HAVE NO FOOD. I'M 72 AND I AM SO LONELY I'M READING A BOOK RIGHT NOW CALLED NEVER ALONE. I FEEL GOD DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ME THERE'S ONE THING I LEARNED WHEN YOU GO THINGS YOU NEED SUPPORT. I WISH I HAD SOMEONE AS WONDERFUL AS YOU TO TALK TO. I'VE COME ACROSS YOU ON UTUBE. THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL CHANNEL YOU HAVE A HEART OF GOLD 💛GOD BLESS YOU THANK YOU 😊🙏❤❤
Susan just remember who God is and who you are to Him!! I remember and recall that David in the Psalm encouraged himself in the Lord! We are not alone, but we maybe lonely. God said that he will never leave us or forsake us. Find your strength in Christ and be careful not to look towards people for support. Yes, God uses people, but when they are not there, God will be all that you need! I relate to what you are feeling!
Oh Susan, our prayers are most certainly with you! You are not forgotten or forsaken! The Lord is always with you and loves you more than you can fathom! Our prayer is that you would lean in and encounter the love of Jesus and the presence of God like you’ve never experienced before. We pray he would reinforce his love to you and let you know that he holds you and cares for you every moment of your life! If you’d like to share more with someone, please reach out to our Response department at response@joniandfriends.org. They would love to encourage you and pray with you as you need it! God bless you!
This message has strengthened my faith and is helping me RIGHT NOW in my suffering! Thank you for allowing the Most High God to minister through your life, I know God LOVES YOU Joni! ❤❤
Thank you. I had a nasty word meltdown with a relative who happens to not even believe that God was not created by higher aliens... it wasn't me.. but my disabilities that acted out... stretched beyond my capabilities physically and mentally. I feel as such a failure. I have no earthly support system IRL.
My dad went from a strong and athletic man to now being deathly underweight and depressingly weak. He has lung cancer and doesn't yet know Jesus. I asked him who he thinks Jesus is, and he asked me what I think about what scientists say. He also said that he has listened to Billy Graham and loves him. He needs Jesus to be in his heart. I also ask for prayer for his physical body.😢
Oh, Kristal! Our prayers are with you and your dad! We pray that the Lord would open his eyes to the truth of who God is and soften his heart to invite him in as Lord and Savior. We also pray for strength and healing to come to his body! May the Lord comfort you all and encourage your hearts as you care for your Dad! If you ever feel like you need to share more or receive prayer, please feel free to reach out to our Response team at response@joniandfriends.org. They are happy to listen and encourage you in every way they can! God bless you! - Stephanie

Joni, Thank you for your encouragement through your life. I’ve been familiar with you and your story for years, but just recently watched the movie. You have turned tragedy into triumph! I have a Traumatic Brain Injury from a vehicle accident six years ago. Our circumstances are different, somewhat, but your courage and determination to make something good come from what was bad. I’m encouraged to try to do that too! 😃🙏☝️🫶💖✝️ Dave Melton

Tank you Joni. Tanks God. God bless.

'the disabled'? Persons with disabilities I find more inclusive language of those of us 'even Christians' with disabilities.
