@@chameleonboy2001 Agreed, with some of the new paddle submission costs it may eliminate quite a few of those small companies. It is sad in my opinion and is likely going to limit growth and increase costs to the consumers as well.
Been using a J2k the past 4 weeks, spin is outstanding and volleys are solid, even those hit off-center. Best paddle I've owned so far (SLK Omega, Ronbus R3.16, Vatic Prism Flash, Neonic Force). Feels as plush as the Vatic Prism Flash while having quite a bit more power and pop.
Even after all these new paddle releases it's nice to hear that the J2K still holds your top spot. You had such good things to say about it during your initial dedicated review and glad to see that it has the consistency to maintain it's #1 spot!
I love that Honolulu PB has two paddles in this list! I’m playing with the J2K Pro now but really want to get a J3K Pro to try out the standard shape and longer handle!
Really intrigued by the Hurache, but the J2K is definitely top of list. Love that the list doesn't include any of the big companies that are overcharging for inferior paddles
Thanks for the review. Paddles are so expensive these days and I’m glad to get help in making a selection that fits my style of play. The J2K sounds like the paddle for me.
I enjoyed your top 5 paddles for 2024. The Honolulu Pickleball Company has been making good and affordable pickleball paddles, since their beginning. Thank you, Lewis.
I was expecting to see my Thrive Azul at #5 and my Spartus Apollo should have been in 4th, 3rd, 2nd, and 1st place (IMHO). Other than that it was a great list. I’ll share it with my buddies who are in the market for a paddle.
Another fine review Lewis! Thank you! So many great paddles out there right now. I hope these small companies making excellent paddles can continue to compete!
Nice review. I have the Mark One and really like it, but I like the Spartus Apollo a lot more than it. Serves and drives I like equally with both paddles, but the Apollo shines in hands battles and has more pop and is still very controllable. The Mark One I like slightly more for touch shots. I think it comes down to if you definitely prefer hybrid shape, then you're better going with the Mark One, but if you're indifferent on hybrid vs. wide body, I think the Apollo outperforms the Mark One overall.
It's so easy to be influenced by the high price tag on some paddles. I love that you can do an honest review without thinking that expensive means better!
I agree the smaller company reviews are great. I have a pickleball apes and would have never considered that paddle without these paddle reviewers bringing these companies to our attention.
Let’s go!!! Honolulu Pickleball Paddle Company tops the list!!! Would love a J2K!!! Sounds like a very solid paddle all the way around!!! Would love to get my hands on one someday!!! Thanks for all your videos and the effort you put into them!!!
I knew it was the J2K before clicking this video. I really like how you make sure price is no object to performance here with that 3rd option. Great video!
I'm definitely in the market for a lighter swing weight paddle. These are all tempting- love the look of the Mark One but might have to go with the J2K.
I’m really looking forward to my forward to trying out the J2k as I need a new paddle badly (mine recently started splitting at the plastic at the top and has a slight dent 😅.
I have the original Mark Kinetic. After watching your review on it, I made the decision to buy it and it’s my favorite paddle to date. I’m very interested in the J2 k and would love to compare the feel to the Kinetic. Great reviews Louis! Keep up the good work!
Awesome list of paddles ... I have ordered the J3K Pro a few weeks ago and hope to play with it when it arrives. Have heard a lot of good things about the J2K so I am curious and hope to win it to test it out and compare it to the J3K Pro.
FYI, the 14mm version of the 11six24 Kevlar is the one to get. Still a soft face but more balanced towards all court play than the 16mm version. Been my go-to for the last 6 weeks 🙌
Slightly higher in price.... but the Thrive Azul tops them all. Still love my Ruby, but the Azul is my top dog right now. Took me a week to dial in my resets and dinks (coming from the Ruby) after placing some lead on the 4 and 8 positions, but now it's a beast! The swing weight was 115.13, and twist weight was 6.67. I love how Thrive measures each and every paddle to let you know exactly what your getting. Aesthetically it looks amazing too. The Mark One has a good look to it....but not a fan of the graphics or overall look of the J2K. I'm sure it's a really good paddle, it just doesn't catch my eye, IMO. 😎
I had a feeling the #1 paddle was going to be the J2K. I haven’t heard any bad things about the paddle from any review and the more reviews I watch the more antsy I get about getting one. Thanks for the quick rating of these paddles!
Thanks for following through with your word! In some previous comment I left you mentioned you had planned to do this shortly so it's great to see it come to life and see what your favorite/top paddles are at the moment. I read somewhere that the Mark One is slightly softer than the Mark Kinetic, but nearly all other specs were similar (including pop/power). Have you found this to be true and that you've found it to have a little bit more control than the Kinetic?
It may be slightly less poppy than the original kinetic and as mentioned has a softer feel. Other than that not much is different. Still clearly and excellent paddle
Thanks to you, I used your promo code and bought the J2K. Started to play with it, then my wife decided she wanted it more than I did. Guess I'm back in the marker for another!
Been trying to get my hands on a J2K. Your previous king of kevlar video was really a great comparison of this. Looking forward to more of your content. Great job!
Just realized the promo code for the j2k was incorrect on screen. The correct code is Pursuit. Apologies for the confusion
Love that these smaller companies are pumping out such good paddles at a fraction of the cost!
For now…

Long term review?
Even after all these new paddle releases it's nice to hear that the J2K still holds your top spot. You had such good things to say about it during your initial dedicated review and glad to see that it has the consistency to maintain it's #1 spot!
My head spins with all the paddle releases. Love your reviews as they really cover the paddle points that I need to know. Thank you.
Definitely a solid list. i wonder how this list compares to other paddle reviewers' top 5 lists....
Excellent list and couldn’t agree more! Honolulu Pickleball company does not miss!
There are so many good paddles. The J2K is at the top of my list.
Have the Hurache-X control + awesome paddle. Would love to try the Kevlar version!
I love that Honolulu PB has two paddles in this list! I’m playing with the J2K Pro now but really want to get a J3K Pro to try out the standard shape and longer handle!
I agree complete with your review! I have been playing with the 6.0 DBD for 1 year and now the J2K for the last 3 weeks! More pop and control & spin!
Excellent summary. So many great paddles halfway through the year. I agree with your choices and rankings.
Really intrigued by the Hurache, but the J2K is definitely top of list. Love that the list doesn't include any of the big companies that are overcharging for inferior paddles
That was a very interesting list. I do have the huarache but would really like to try either the Shape Shifter or the J2K. Thanks for the review.
I love the J2 and would love to try out a J2K. Great paddles. Great price. 💥
Awesome review, very insightful! Hopefully I'll get a chance to try the J2K through this giveaway!

To me the J2K and J3K Pro are closely comparable Paddles in my opinion. Great takes overall.
Great review keep them coming. Really like these smaller companies putting out a great product at a competitive price.
This channel and the convos with Justin is my new go to!!! Keep the 🔥 burning!
j2k is the winner
J2K pro is the No.1
Another fine review Lewis! Thank you! So many great paddles out there right now. I hope these small companies making excellent paddles can continue to compete!
Great paddle roundup! Interesting that Kevlar and 18K paddles are heavily featured here.
Been watching all of the J2K videos and agree with your list, could use it to my advantage!
Love the paddle reviews you've been putting out. I've been looking for a new paddle and the J2K keeps popping up.
I'm glad you included every single paddle shape in your list! I would love to try the J2K out
Clear, calm, concise and well articulated reviews of these paddles - thanks!
What paddle besides the gen 3 s - gear box - or paddle tek would you recommend for a singles player ?
Awesome list! i actually never heard of the Shapeshifter, so to see a paddle i've never heard of on your top 5 was super cool and interesting!
Some great paddles on this! I ended up going with the J3K but the J2K has been on my list since the first pre-order
Nice review. I have the Mark One and really like it, but I like the Spartus Apollo a lot more than it. The pro line energy s is a great paddle
Great list. HPC J2K seems to be the best bang for the buck. Could it possibly be the best paddle of 2024??
Great rundown of each paddle- loved that it’s concise and fact based. Thanks!
Good list! Want to try the Mark One.
All excellent choices. Looking forward to trying some of these myself.
These paddles look so awesome, definitely gonna need to try on of them out.
Pretty much agree with this list, although if prob swap the mark and shapeshifter
Solid list! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these great paddles. Would love to try one of these as my next paddle!
Thanks for the list. Definitely want to try the J2K and see how it compares to my Spartus Apollo.
Let’s go!!! Honolulu Pickleball Paddle Company tops the list!!! Would love a J2K!!! Sounds like a very solid paddle all the way around!!! Would love to get my hands on one someday!!! Thanks for all your videos and the effort you put into them!!!
Thanks for the overall top paddle updates. There are so many good paddles out this year.
Very excited for the future of pickleball paddles. Looks like I’ll be in the market for a Kevlar paddle. Thanks for your list!
I knew it was the J2K before clicking this video. I really like how you make sure price is no object to performance here with that 3rd option. Great video!
Thanks for the list! Tough having so many good choices.
Great video…..You have 2 Honolulu paddles on the list…….impressive.
Great video! Looking forward to trying out a paddle with kevlar grit.
Thanks for the list! I’d like a J2K to replace my well-used ruby!
So nice that companies are producing great paddles that are within a reasonable price! Would love to try out the J2K paddle!
I'm definitely in the market for a lighter swing weight paddle. These are all tempting- love the look of the Mark One but might have to go with the J2K.
Been hearing a lot about the J2k… started playing Pickleball recently and am looking for my first “real” paddle. Is the J2k a good choice?
Yes
Good list of paddles here. I definitely want to get the J2K in the future.
Great review thanks for going through the detail and offering the discount codes as well
They looked really good paddle and affordable!!
Great choice J2K . Very good group of paddles
I’m really looking forward to my forward to trying out the J2k as I need a new paddle badly (mine recently started splitting at the plastic at the top and has a slight dent 😅.

I've been playing for a couple of months and just realized the importance of a decent paddle. This video helped a lot!
I like the way that paddles are trending more towards control/all court. Can't wait to try the J2k.
Seeing more j2k paddles on the courts near me. Glad Honolulu pickleball is getting more recognition.
J2K looks fun! Also the chorus shape shifter face looks cool
I've played with somebody else's J2K, and I like it a lot. It's gonna be great picking up my own!
What a lineup! The J2K and Shape Shifter sound most interesting. Thanks!
The J2K is sweet. I went from the Ruby to the J2K as my primary paddle. Mahalo 🤙🏾
Just getting into pickleball and looking for my first paddle! Loved the top5 paddles list. Super helpful!
awesome reviews keep them coming, yes,the Honolulu J2K is the one 4 me
Excellent video! I love the detailed specs you provided for each paddle. The J2K really caught my attention. Keep up the great work!
Solid video. You got me thinking about trying a Mark 01 now. Also daydreaming of winning this J2K!
Huarache-x is a great paddle

Glad more companies are rivaling with Big giants. Paddles prices were out of control.
Great list of paddles. I'm excited about testing out the J2K.
I’m torn on which standard shape to try out. Thanks for the list! Great work!!
Great selections and totally agree with the selection of the J2K as Numero Uno!
Thanks for the list! All of these look awesome. The J2K looks like a really good paddle. Definitely have to try it.
The chorus shapeshifter just looks so good
Great list of paddles! love seeing these smaller companies provide quality paddles
You must be having fun getting to try all these paddles. I haven’t seen any of these in my rec play community,
I would love to give the J2k and shot. Good review.
Slightly higher in price.... but the Thrive Azul tops them all. Still love my Ruby, but the Azul is my top dog right now. This is a great list! Very ASMR too lol. The J2K is a great paddle. Thanks for doing this review!
I had a feeling the #1 paddle was going to be the J2K. I haven’t heard any bad things about the paddle from any review and the more reviews I watch the more antsy I get about getting one. Thanks for the quick rating of these paddles!
Great list! Quick question: if USAP didn't delist Gen 3 Joolas and Vatic Oni, would they make your top 5 list?
Thanks for following through with your word! Thanks for the update!
The J2k also looks beautiful, nice review thank you
Thank you for the top 5 list and comparison!
#1 and #2 are on my next paddle short list
Where would you put the J2K Pro?
I’ve been eyeing the Mark One and Shapeshifter. This info is helpful. Thanks for this review!
Thanks to you, I used your promo code and bought the J2K. Started to play with it, then my wife decided she wanted it more than I did. Guess I'm back in the marker for another!
Wow! Can’t believe the J2K took your #1. I’ve yet to try it…thanks for doing the giveaway!
Been trying to get my hands on a J2K. Your previous king of kevlar video was really a great comparison of this. Looking forward to more of your content. Great job!
Been a crazy 6 months since the DBD and Ruby ruled the world!
great list, would love to try the J2K
I've been intrigued by the J2K since it was released. Thanks for your great reviews!
Yes … Honolulu Pball Co has 2 in the top 5!!!
