The tone, some melodic lines, also the way to climb until the high harmonics : 6:40 for example : Chad's tenor reminds me a lot Michael Brecker's version of ''Body & Soul'' live with Elvin Jones.. Inspiration ? Pretty sure.. Kind of hommage maybe

Chad I love all the great guys and you know who they are. I can't make up my mind between you Chris Potter and Dexter. I guess I love all three the same. You guys play outside as good as it gets. I don't have a clue how to do that. I came up playing a lot of blues in the Fats Domino era. Luckily for me, he had sax players and I did learn some pretty good licks from them. However. I could never reach the plateau of you, Dexter, and Chris. I do play the jazz ballads smooth with a few licks hee and there. I just can't get outside like you guys do. I love listening to all of you real musicians!
Love this tune and you did it and yourself proud. Just goes to show that a few well placed notes is infinitly more effective than a tirade of lightspeed runs! Sweet!
This cat must be one of the best modern day tenor players .. in all his crazy lines he never lost the melody..
Wonderful classic, great interpretation.
You should turn these sessions into an album!
"From the jazzy basement"
I was about to ask if this stuff was on Spotify

Love it how you still stay true to Coleman but it’s undoubtably Chad. You are so good man
Chad this is truly awesome.
You are great on ballads (too....). And that bass solo...
I love Chimy's playing too :)
modern and vintage, mixed, enhanced : du corps et de l'âme, avec émotion, référence et respect des anciens : great !
