The Orioles play hard and they play smart. Aggressive, not stupid, base running. Different guys stepping up different games. Team baseball.

Copy Mayo: 21 years old hit about 30 bombs and 40 doubles between double a and triple a
Cade Povich: one of the top strikeout pitchers in the minors
Chance McDermott: had one of the lowest batting averages allowed in the minors
Samuel Basallo: 19 has massive power potential

Cade Povich, the lynchpin of the Jorge Lopez deal to Minnesota. Yennier Cano, the "throw-in" player in the deal to make the financials work. And now the reacquisition of Jorge Lopez. Essentially the Twins gave up 4 pitchers for a bit of cash.

Major congrats to the Orioles
Overlooked as part of the success of the Orioles this year are the "pick up" players that have been significant contributors. Ohrearn, Hicks, Webb, Lopez, etc. have performed way beyond reasonable expectations or their history with other clubs. Elias deserves all the credit in addition to internally developed players he had a role in. The question may be can the Orioles continue this trend as part of their formulae for success.
Lately they have been masters at polishing "Diamonds in the rough" through waivers and underrated free agent signings.
Assuming there are no more injuries, the Orioles wouldn't need to trade for a starter for next season. They will have Means, Bradish, Rodriguez, Kramer, Wells. That 5 man roatiion should be filthy in it's own right. Not to mention another year of maturity for Irvin. McDermott might be able to come up next year too. This team is deep.

I’m not a huge expert when it comes to MLB free agency but l would love the Orioles to add at least one more starter and a reliever. Blake Snell and Josh Hader from the Padres would be nice but the thing is John Angelos is cheap.
Don't forget Seth Johnson. The guy was an absolute beast and the race top prospect before he had Tommy John surgery in late 2021. The centerpiece chip in the Trey Mancini trade. Can't-miss picture before his injury I should be back in AAA fully healthy next year

You can thank the Astros rebuild blueprint that has completely revolutionized the league. Yankees tried it but veered back to their ways toward the end, and you can see how close it came to working for them too. Will be league wide soon where every farm system will look like the Astros. Texas and Seattle implemented the blueprint too which means it's the probably the sunset on the Astros AL dynasty.
You have to win atleast 3 championships In 5 year to be a dynasty... Astros are not an AL dynasty lol.
