13 pro and 13 pro max is exactly the same too except sizes. The silver last year was more appealing to me than this year's. Slight change in the color tone. This is why I would go with the deep purple if i were to buy a 14 pro max. Great video, thank you.

Have you seen the Deep Purple in person? I saw it in the Apple Store when I picked up my Silver 14 Pro Max and I was kind of underwhelmed. Much less purple than I expected...quite grey in some lights. However, that was under fluorescent lighting...
@@TheTechReviewer Thank you maam. I have seen the Sierra Blue of the 13 pros; not Deep Purple yet. Sierra was exactly like what you said for the deep purple. Silverish baby blue. :) that what makes it a unique color. Its not straight up baby blue like regular 14s of this year. Im pretty sure I will love that deep purple color.
That’s right…the Sierra Blue changes color in the same way. It’s definitely a more sophisticated look than the glossy bright colors of the non Pro versions. Enjoy!!

Do you plan on making 4K videos in the future? I think it would make the quality much better especially when reviewing cases/ phones.

I’m new to your channel and i like how you present the material without redundancy. One question HOW ABOUT THE WEIGHT? I already have the 14 plus so nice and light yet i have to have another phone which: 14 pro max or 14 pro note that i have small hands.
Good question, Jhone! I would definitely go with the 14 Pro. I have both the 14 Pro and the 14 Pro Max, and the Pro Max is a pretty hefty phone to carry around on a day to day basis. I think the 14 Pro is much more reasonable size and weight.
I see there’s a Sim Card tray so I guess it’s not an iPhone for the US! The eSim was a bit of a headache to setup with my carrier but it should be smooth sailing from now on!
Hi Jesse! Sorry it was time consuming to set up your esim with your carrier. I've been hearing that is an issue. And you are very correct as to the origin of my iPhone. Not US! I'm American, but I live overseas due to my husband's job, so this particular iPhone was purchased in Shanghai.

OMG, I bought mine in gold PM, I was going to receive it on Friday(09/16) but for some reason FedEx delayed it and I was looking for on youtube videos that will show me the iPhone 14 in gold color unboxing, last time I had an iPhone in gold color was with the iPhone 5s, everyone was either going for the purple color or the space black color, but girl two thumbs up for your video‼☝👍😀😀

Great color, i’m still rocking the silver 12 pro max a few more years. Since i’m not getting the new phone, i decided to get my very first speck case just to change things up a bit. It’s not a common brand here in europe at all, so i ordered one from amazon. Most people go for otterboxes or tech21. However, i had a question. Do you use apple watches? If so, are you upgrading this year? A potential video possibly? Have a nice day!

On the Watch topic, I’m a big fan of the Apple Watch! I think they are a huge benefit in terms of exercise…I feel that I have increased my amount of daily activity since getting one. All those little exercise reminders are very motivating! I currently have the Series 5, so I’m considering upgrading, but I haven’t decided yet. If I do upgrade, I’m sure a video will be forthcoming!

I upgrade every year, just cause I can and I like to have a strong battery and performance as possible. I’ll say, it was an upgrade for me going from 13 pro max to 14 pro max. A16 is noticeably faster and a lot smoother. Yes it’s not a HUGE upgrade but it is a well refined, beefier version of the 13 pro max. The DI is nice and changes the experience of the phone and adds some cool features but the A16 chip really rounds out the phones UI nicely and is what makes it worth it for me, along with some other things.

Sorry, Breno! The 14 Pro is indeed a lovely iPhone. But I have to say, I was using an iPhone 7 briefly a few days ago as a bridge device after I traded in my iPhone 13 Pro and before I unboxed my iPhone 14 Pro, and the small size, light weight and rounded corners were quite nice. It does have its advantages!

Hi Rima! I still love the Silver color more, but I have to say that I prefer using the slightly smaller Pro Max size. So it will be a hard decision on which to use as my daily driver!

@@TheTechReviewer I’ve had gold phones since the 6 Plus came out. With my current 12 Pro Max I have the silver but I thought I’d go back to gold - once I buy it lol. I can’t wait for all the accessories you’ll be reviewing. Maybe I’ll just get a casetify case but I’ll need something in the meantime. I thought the yellow apple silicone case with orange MagSafe wallet.

The best gold tone to date was xs Max's then the 11 pro max.
I had the Xs Max in gold…it was great, but you’re right. Much darker gold than this. The 14 Pro series gold is pale and understated. I like it, though 😊
Yep that’s the one I would get not the massive pro that can’t even be fit in a pocket. This one is perfect. Although at $1600-$2000 Canadian I’m not so sure ;-) my iPhone 8 will last another year
I hear you, @RJtoon1!! I now have the 14 Pro and the 14 Pro Max (I need both for my TH-cam channel), and that Pro Max is just so large! I love it, but it is a challenge to carry around. I will probably end up switching to using this 14 Pro as my daily driver...(first world problems, I know!!) 😂
I have understand from someone that the battery does go faster down then with the iPhone 13 pros
Not in my experience so far. The battery life seems to be the same, or better...

You are missing out on the Dynamic Island and the Always on Display, Mark! And what if you get stranded in the wilderness and don't have access to the emergency SOS? You will be regretting your decision not to upgrade! 🤣

@Hilmi, have you tried the Dynamic Island? It really is cool. Very, very useful. And Always on Display is great. It seems like a small thing, but it is wonderful to have. It keeps you from having to wake up your phone all the time to check for notifications. Plus, your time and date and any widgets are always visible.

I have the iPad mini 6 in starlight and it looks close to that color. I was surprised when I opened my 14 pro, I seriously thought it was mistakenly packed silver model. Had to go into direct sunlight to see the gold hues, it doesn’t show well in warm indoor lighting.

I have preordered the ip14 pro max gold colour because this is the colour left. The other colour are all sold out. My issues is will i like the colour over time😅
Hi Mohd! I hear you! But I think the nice thing about the Gold and Silver options is that nearly all cases are going to look great with them. As a case reviewer, I am keenly aware of that. The Space Black is probably also good with most cases, but the Deep Purple may be a bit murky and not look good with a lot of case options. I think you will be happy with your Gold!

You really can't go wrong with the Silver. It's a great color...I get it year after year. And all cases look fantastic on a Silver iPhone!

Hi Eduardo! Good eyes! Only the US market iPhone 14 series phones are sim card free. Those sold in other countries still offer sim card trays. I purchased my iPhone 14 Pro outside of the US because I live in Shanghai as an American expat. My husband has been working here for the last several years. 😊

Hi Keith! You are clearly paying attention! No, it's not the US version.😊 I'm American, but I live abroad due to my husband's job, so I bought it Shanghai! There's still a sim tray (in fact it is a dual sim tray, for two physical sim cards, which is useful), but unfortunately the China market version doesn't have the additional 5G mmWave antenna or access to the new satellite SOS system...
