A little trick to help remove the intake grate from the sealant. Use a decent rope and something long that you can load some torque onto. Obviously remove the bolts first.
Thats actually great way to do it. Can you tell what type of sealant is used to put it back. I checked that black OEM material feels MUCH harder that marine silicone. what is the brand ?
You need to remove 3 bolts to remove the grate, one has a nut inside the hull. With a rope it's usually easier to remove the pump from the rear and unwind it from the driveshaft.
I have a 2019 fishpro as well. I was just in this situation a couple weeks ago.. Why the hell do they even use the adhesive on there? And the bolt on mine towards the front of the boat wouldnt come out. I ended up putting together a coat hangar contraption to reach in there to dislodge the chunk of wood jamming my impeller with out pulling off the grate. I like your method for pulling off the grate. I saw another video where somebody used a flat tipped screw driver and it jacked up his fiber glass. Your method is much better.
Hey mate, there is usually a retaining nut on the inside that needs a second person to help undo. Apologies for not including that bit, this video was meant for the Seadoo Tech forum in regard of a safety recall for the 2019 Supercharged ST3s, so didn't include the full instructions.

There's nuts on the inside of the hull, it's easier to remove the pump and access it from the rear.

I got a rope stuck inside there. I saw there was two bolts that i needed to take off. Can i just do what you are doing or can i damage the bolts?
