  • After the tragic sudden death of Aharon's sons we are left with many questions... What did they do that was so bad? why did they do so? but more puzzling to us is what can we learn from this entire episode and what message can we take for our day to day life

@@rendezvouswithpablo Not awake in a Jewish sense but merely Rav Anava is so tuned into Truth that he is not deceived by mainstream political propaganda. (At least this is what I think the commenter meant.)

Rabbi Alona said that he was a criminal before his out of body experience (and apparently a quite successful one). I think it takes a criminal mind to truly understand what is happing in the world today.

    Rabbi, hello from Brazil!
I daily thank the Creator for having access to your lessons. I have recently committed to Torah and Kaballah studies ( I have given up a few times, rs!). I think I was just lacking insights and spiritual maturity. Your lessons are an inspiration to the path. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and time.

Rabbi Anava does not teach outside of the box, though he does have his own style that we love. His Torah shuirim (lectures) are from the sages. As a Jew who had been observant for over 30 years, I am always excited to learn a new depth to Torah, for there are many levels. On another note, Rabbi Anava has sent many request that one not violate Shabbos and Yom Tov by listening to his shuirim on these holy days. Personally, I have found that reading the weekly parsha on Sunday night and then learning the commentaries and listening to shuirim on line prepares me for Shabbos in shul. I hope you will try this too. All the best to your spiritual growth!!!

Kiddush Hashem is a very high level done in Torah way. A parallel to what Rabbi Alon Anava said about in middle of simchas there can be such tradegy. Rabbi Akiva, zekher tzadik livrakhah, is another example being skinned alive by the romans, yet being in such simcha and joy to serve Hashem that way. Deeper understanding going on there not just as simple as the word martyrdom. In hebrew kiddush Hashem (studied in hebrew not a translation) is the word that captures the essence of what is going on there

It's necessary to have opinions at crucial moments. Example: The big pockets of this world could decide to slice Earth into pieces just to create jobs at sticking them back together for economy's sake, or they could launch a nuclear war just because they can and they're in their andropause.
It is quite necessary to voice opposition against such madness.

Being that English is Rabbi Anava's second language, when korban gets translated as sacrifice just translate the word to offering. A sacrifice is when one feels deprived of something. A korban is part of the process that brings us back to unite with HaSh-m. We are bringing an offering. That's what the rabbi means.
Please forgive me, Rabbi Anava, I just want what you are teaching to be clear.

Wonderful message dear rabbi, we were created with a purpose, a known guru from India said: "Suppose you have separated the shell, flesh, and a seed of a bel-fruit and someone asks you the weight of the fruit. Will you leave aside the shell and the seeds, and weigh only the flesh? Not at all. To know the real weight of the fruit, you must weigh the whole of it-the shell, the flesh and the seeds. Only then can you tell its real weight".💖
