I'm rather confused about the ATS scan function. From what I have found, after you do a ATS scan, you have to type on the keypad to go thru the found stations. Such as 1, 2 3 etc. Not sure if this applies to stations saved in permanent memory or not. On my other radios, after an ATS scan, I simply turn the tuning dial and it goes thru the found stations. Can you clarify this a bit?
Sorry for the late response, to be honest I’ve never used the scan and memory function. I just tend to use the radio manually, however there’s lots of content on TH-cam on this radio that may go into more detail.
Yes you’re right it’s not as intuitive as other receivers, start from 0 to 9 then page 1 through the numbers up to 9 again and on it goes. Also if you don’t watch the scan you won’t know how many stations have saved, you can’t just dial the wheel back to the last saved, it has slightly harsher higher tone than most which grates my ears a little though voice clarity can be more intelligible. Overall I prefer the Tecsun 330 the the xhdata has slightly better AM a longer antenna, air band a larger battery and RDS. On paper the xhdata wins like everything else though it’s just personal preference.
Looks really good
Thanks Chris 👍
