    After watching this video twice for the Ski Install, I can now see why you had to cut them. Your Sled has stabilizers, which were an add on from the factory. A longer bolt is used, and that's why you had to cut the skis. Thanks for the videos.

      @ADDvanced  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not a huge deal, hopefully. The skis are pretty old and have a lot of surface cracks, maybe something exciting will happen lol

      @@ADDvanced I wasn't saying it's a bad thing. Just wondering why you had to and others didn't (Dennis Kirk) Phazer 2 build. Thanks!

      @@petfeeding101 If you look closely, the profile of the ribs are different on that dennis kirk build; they're overall much lower, with a small bump up for the main mount/bolt area. If you watch my video again, you'll see the rib is straight across, and sort of higher everywhere. Design must have changed at some point, maybe to reduce weight?

    Fill your fuel lines w/ brake cleaner. Safer than ether & pops like gas. 30 pulls is crazy. Just from fuel pump to carbs. And a squirt in the cylinders. It's Canadian starting fluid. 🙃 And I'm American. 🇺🇲

    • @ADDvanced
      @ADDvanced  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Too many pulls, was trying to avoid any air bubbles! But yeah should use a lot less, theoretically.

      Most fun in winter apart from downhill skiing... which is a big covid party lately.

    Great video, nice to see you guys having some fun. Any chance you could make a video on how to properly tune the carbs ? I can’t seem to figure mine out, either idles too high or too low with tons of smoke, I don’t know how to properly adjust the pilot screws/ throttle screw/ and choke cables

    • @ADDvanced
      @ADDvanced  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I could try! Did you clean them recently? I would suggest rebuilding them to start.... new jets!

      @@theodoreroeloffzen3423 The manual has a lot about carb tuning, see if you can find one. I haven't done ultra fine tuning yet, but will get around to it.

    btw i dont think fuel system would prime without plugs because its relying on the vaccum from the crankcase which i dont think it has without the plugs in might be wrong

    • @ADDvanced
      @ADDvanced  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey I didn't think of that! It's possible, I was just always taught to do it like this!

    • @scooterevolution44
      @scooterevolution44 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ADDvanced It might still produce vacuum though really not sure, would be a cool experiment to hook up a gauge on the crankase port and run the starter and find out !

    Awesome sleds for the money! One question, what bars are on your sled ? I want those on my sled!

    • @ADDvanced
      @ADDvanced  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not really sure, I think they're just stock bars without the fairing, with some sort of extension

  • @batchboy999

    Yea, speed + thin things = crash, damage or goodbye S2. Also ahead of you in turns and any object = same. Otherwise, relatively slower for all things it sees to avoid.

    Why the hell would you put the secondary and belt on, before getting it started, first question...... Second, why the hell would you put the secondary and belt on, then try to access the carb drains. Best of all, you bitch about not having any room to access the carb, while battling the limited space behind the secondary.
    Cool videos, glad you've got the time and ability to make decent edits. A lot of Phazer guys surely appreciate it. Others of us realize you either know just enough, or post just enough to get the countless TH-cam mechanics in trouble.
