  • Title: "Embracing Islam: Teaching with Love and Understanding"
    Description:
In this heartfelt video, I open up about my journey as a reverted Muslim and the profound impact it has had on my life. Join me as I discuss the importance of teaching Islam correctly from an early age, emphasizing compassion, empathy, and patience in nurturing a genuine connection to the faith.
I share my personal experiences to shed light on the harmful effects of forcing religious beliefs onto others and advocate for a more inclusive and tolerant approach to teaching Islam. Let's foster an environment where individuals can explore and embrace their faith freely, without fear or coercion.
Join the conversation and let's spread the message of love and understanding in our communities. #RevertedMuslim #TeachingIslam #Compassion #ReligiousTolerance #IslamicEducation #LoveAndUnderstanding #FaithJourney

As salaammu Alykum sweetheart I am 42 born Muslim in America and everything you're saying is correct. My parents told me faster in Ramadan. Pray and cover but never went into why or when it was revealed in the Qur'an. In our house and a lot of Muslims mix their culture in the religion. And for people who don't have the understanding or the love for it in their heart can' go astray. You're so smart and so young.May Allaah be please with you Aameen

I agree. When my children were growing up, I did not focus on the rituals so much, but more on making sure they understood the deen. Of course, we prayed, etc, but I wanted them to have a logical understanding of Islam. Now, Alhumdulillah, they are very spiritual, as they do it because they love Allah Subhanahutala and His deen, not because they are following traditions.

Also, I have seen that Muslim girls who did not have loving religious fathers / older brothers, often thought of Islam as sexist and considered Hijab a burden. So, Muslim men in the family most definitely shape the perception of Islam in the minds of the girls in the family.

@@TheAmazighMuslimah Yepp, may Allah make it easy for you and your family.
Father / older brothers have to be both loving and righteous. If one of these are missing, then that negatively influences the perception of Islam among the women folk of the family.
I have younger female cousins (the age of my daughters) and they had negative image of Islam and Hijab. They considered Hijab a burden and thought of Islam as an oppression tool of toxic Muslim men.
But since I have been interacting with them and talking with them gently about Allah and His prophet SAWW, Alhamdulillah they all have positive image of Islam now, and they have started to observe Hijab and Abaya (without me ever telling them to do so). Alhamdulillah, summa Alhamdulillah. May Allah grant them and grant you more steadfastness over your Deen. And may Allah make the men in their family and the men in your family become LOVING and RIGHTEOUS. Ameen!

      Please read that
      1. Dar Tiba Volume 5, chapter 10, page 155 .”...and as for the punishment in case of sexual desire for a little girl who is not sexually committed by anyone because of her very young age: There is no punishment. and it is allowed to touch her even if her body and intimate area are not yet fully mature “
Do you like a pedophile for your daughter?
      2. Tafsir Al-Qur'tobi Al-Jaime' Le Ahkam Al Qu'ran Chapter Al-Noor page 146 Aisha said: "Do not give the women a room to themselves and do not teach them how to write but teach them from the chapter al-noor and teach them how to spin and sew"
      3. Sahih Al bukhari Volume 6, book 60 Hadith 408 Narrated By Alqama : “Abdullah (bin Masud) said. “Allah curses those ladies who practice tattooing and those who get themselves tattooed, and those ladies who remove the hair from their faces and those who make artificial spaces between their teeth in order to look more beautiful whereby they change Allah’s creation. Please do not cut hairs from your faces. Otherwise, you will go to hell. The almighty prophet said that. “
      4. Does the prophet love woman? Suma Abu Dawud, book 12 number 2220 " Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin: Habibah daughter of Sahl was the wife of Thabit ibn Qays Shimmas He beat her and broke some of her part (bones !!, wrong translation). So she came to the Prophet (ﷺ) after morning, and complained to him against her husband. The Prophet (ﷺ) called on Thabit ibn Qays and said (to him): Take a part of her property and separate yourself from her. He asked: Is that right, Messenger of Allah? He said: Yes. He said: I have given her two gardens of mine as a dower, and they are already in her possession. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Take them and separate yourself from her. " Islam loves women, what do you think??????
      5. Sahih Muslim Book 36, Hadith Number 6596. says: Usama b. Zaid reported that Allah’s Messenger (way peace be upon him) said: "I stood at the door of Paradise and I found that the overwhelming majority of those who entered therein was that of poor persons and the wealthy persons were detained to get into that. The denizens of Hell were commanded to get into Hell, and I stood upon the door of Fire and the majority amongst them who entered there was that of women." With high probability, you are going to hell. Good luck.
      6. Volume 1, Book 6, Number 301: Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri: "O Allah's Apostle! What is deficient in our intelligence and religion?" He said, "Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?" They replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her intelligence. As a Muslim woman, you have a deficiency of intelligence. You are a stupid person. I am not offending Islam; I am quoting Islam books.
      7. Volume 4, Book 52, Number 110: Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar: I heard the Prophet saying. "Evil omen is in three things: The horse, the woman and the house." Is Islam, you are an evil omen as a woman!

Thank you for this. I became Muslim when my daughter was 3. She is 5 now. The first thing I am teaching her is the name and attributes of Allah, and how important it is to develop a connection with him. She asked me questions about how I know the Quran is from God, and why I believe what I believe I explained to her that I did a lot of research and I found the evidence convincing that the Quran is from God. I tell her that when she gets older we will be able to go over this evidence because it will be hard for her to understand so young. I teach her about what Islam is and what it entails and when she asks a hard question I write it down so I can do research and bring her an answer at the right time. she naturally gravitates towards it she loves her hijab and going to the mosque and doing the movements of salah when she sees me pray. She always says Alhamdulillah when she is feeling grateful. I don't want to indoctrinate her. I feel like that's what a lot of religious families do. They don't give kids the chance to understand anything and it's not right. My daughter deserves to understand Islam and why it is true not just " I am Muslim, so you are Muslim, so we do what Muslims do".

    True that sis.
Islam is not sexist. Hijab is not sexist. Righteous Muslim women observe Hijab to please Allah SWT, and not to please their dad / brother / husband / son.
Similarly, there are many things which might be considered extremely difficult for men but men are expected to do those to please Allah SWT, and not to please their parents / girls, etc.
If it is a Hukm from Allah, then we submit to it.

My parents made the same mistakes. Because they did not know a lot about religion. The religion became their culture.
If you ask them questions the could not answer. Just follow what people expected from you.
By doing this your imaan is weak and creates munafiq (fakers).
This is worst than kafir (disblievers).
We Muslims have to read and understand our selves whitout fulfilling expectations of culture or the people around us.

Now your are grown up and its your duty to make sense about ALL of your life and about this world (incl your religion). And that is the way to grow your eeman. Keep learning never stop searching. And dont worry if you didnt get the answers bcs the important think is the ''effort'', not the result.

The problem is the way the parents educate their children. They just order their children around without proper explanation as if their kids are just stupid and cannot understand things. That is why kids will think I pray or I wear hijab because my father/mother told me to do it. Once they are out their parents' homes, the children will no longer pray etc. Show your kids a lot of love and learn to talk to them.

Also, you must admit that you were influenced by the Spanish culture, which sees the woman wearing less as empowerment and freedom, while covering up is being oppressed. I'm not surprised that someone living in Spain would feel this way. It is all around you ingrained in the culture.

Parents can’t teach their children things they don’t know for themselves.
When a child asks, “why” and a parent don’t sit down and explain it, the parents don’t know.
If a parent tells a child to do something… outside of the norms without an expectation, the parent can’t explain why to themselves - let alone someone else.
    Islamic education begins at home.
If a parent is telling a child to do something and the child sees parents doing the opposite - this breeds confusion for the child.
Children learn by seeing first, then reinforced by hearing it. This is why Allah created us with eye in front of our heads.
    Subpana’Allah

    إِنَّكَ لَا تَهْدِي مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ يَهْدِي مَن يَشَاء وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَدِينَ

Verily, you guide not whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He knows best those who are the guided.
meaning:Allah knows best who deserves to be guided and who deserves to be misguided.
It was recorded in the Two Sahihs that this Ayah was revealed concerning Abu Talib, the paternal uncle of the Messenger of Allah.
He used to protect the Prophet, support him and stand by him. He loved the Prophet dearly, but this love was a natural love, i.e., born of kinship, not a love that was born of the fact that he was the Messenger of Allah.
When he was on his deathbed, the Messenger of Allah called him to Faith and to enter Islam, but the decree overtook him and he remained a follower of disbelief, and Allah's is the complete wisdom.

Dear Sister shaimaa As salamu alayki wa rahmatu ALLAHI TAALA wa barakatuh,
I would like to refer you to what I wrote today in my comment about the black HIJAB or Niqab which covers women from the top of their heads to their toes in "SADAQA" channel of one Moroccan sister. That kind of Hijab which starts to spread in my home country Morocco and has no roots in our culture at all but just the imitation of other cultures makes it look like the most correct clothes the women should wear in the presence of men.
Was salamu alayki wa rahmatu ALLAHI TAALA wa barakatuh wa Ramadan Mubarak inshallah TAALA.
See you in you next video inshallah TAALA.

If you revert to Islam then it is best to be with someone with equal values, if you’re a Muslim you’ll (most likely) be encouraged to be a better Muslim with a partner of the same faith but الله knows best it’s good to keep it simple ❤

It's not necessary to marry a muslim woman to become a muslim that's has nothing to do with you converting to Islam brother.
I would suggest you to go to a mosque and ask them about Islam, ask all the questions you have in mind, and tell them about your interestsin converting.
People there you would be more than happy to help and guide you through your journey and they will welcome you with smiles.
I ask Allah swt to guide you to Islam to the true path, to the path of God Almighty Ameen.

A part of hijab being mandatory is because of fitna, so yes, apart of it is so that stranger men who are not your Mahram dont see your body and hair. This is also to protect you, to ensure your safety, to protect you from being objectificated, and to keep your precious body to be seen by the person who will respect you (your husband), also to protect people from fitna, which may lead to Zina. So it is for the better good of the community. As a Muslim, you must accept this in your heart, I feel sorry for you if you find this sexist! Cause it is literally the opposite!

The meaning of hijab in itself means boundaries. So the real reason I wear the hijab is because Allah commanded so, to protect our sexuality, not be disturbed, to decide who can see our beauty. We don’t wear the hijab because without it we “provoke” other men. Hijab applies both for men and women, men also have to protect their private parts, use loose clothings, lower their gaze, not show off their belly button etc. Because men can also provoke other women, so this applies both for men and women.
Y disculpa si te he respondido en inglés, es para que lo puedan ver otras personas porque aquí la mayoría hablan inglés. Gracias por tu comentario Raúl :)

I married a Muslim woman and read the Quran 2 times in English. There are passages in there that are sexist. For example, men can marry up to 4 wives and have sex with their slaves. Is this not sexist? Here are the Quran references for you to look up yourself. The Believers (al-Muminun) 23:1-6, Ways of Ascent (al-Maarij) 70:29-30, The Women (al-Nisa) 4:24, The Confederates (al-Ahzab) 33:50-52 -> Sex with slaves, Sex with slaves even if they are married. Sex-Slaves for Muhammad.
    - 56:35-38 The Imminent Hour (al-Wai'ah) God created virgins for right hand (e.g. Believers)

Not true, also you can’t marry a muslim woman if you’re not muslim yourself. Also man being able to marry 4 woman has a reason behind it, do actual research or ask ur wife instead of judging without knowing anything.

Social pressure is good when the pressure is for ppl to act good and responsibly.
It's impossible to expect 100% of people to act based on their fear of their Creator all the time.
So, social pressure is a good regulator of behavior in all societies, Muslim or not, as long as the pressure is to do good.
There is no denying that in the W3st there is a social pressure to be 304s and act irresponsibly, which many regret.
So, that social pressure is bad.
Islam teaches good social pressure to raise children according to Islam from an early age.
Why do you think the Prophet ordered strict punishment for commanding children to pray at age 10?
Do you think they do it out of Imaan at that age all the time?
    No.
It's a social training to do what's good.
Every society does that, but it's not always for good.
