This is a different breed of General I'm in the 75th Ranger regiment and this man is a Legend to this day. This was a general who cared about his troops he cared about his country and he even cared about the enemy. This Duty dignity and courage this man showed throughout his military career was truly inspiring. This is a humble honest good American he will forever be one of my favorites.

What is really amazing about this is how well they researched and planned Desert Storm.
Amazing considering the follow up by Bush Jr. was an absolute disaster and used as a front to perpetuate 1997's equivalent of Project 2025.
Those fools thought the Iraqis would be welcoming the Americans and that they'd be in Iran by the end of the year. Fools.

I didn't return to Germany the same person that I was before when I went to Desert Storm. My NCO's pointed that out to me. I was not a NCO. My NCO's told me that I was much more serious. Much more "business". Self-reflecting... Yes, I was. Garrison life was BS! Being in the real deal, no BS! That kind of scared me. When the Army was reducing the forces, I had 3 years in service. I could put my request in and get out with an honorable discharge. I left the Army in 1992. I still remember all those good times, shitty times and scared stiff times. I do not regret it. What scares me even more...
I'd do it all over again. That's crazy to say. But it's true.

One of the guys I went through basic training with, and who I'm still friends with to the day, is the son of the guy who was Schwarzkopf's roommate at West Point. He had a lot of photos and a couple autographed by the General. He even wrote my friend a letter after hearing of his father's passing. The General was an amazing man who learned, like Colin Powell, in Vietnam that there's a right way and a wrong way to win a war.

What he meant by _the environment_ and what' cynical alarmist social manipulators today mean by "the environment" are radically different things.
Conservationism, actual conservation, going back to Roosevelt or the Audubon Society has always been a deeply entrenched Heritage American issue. Fake environmental virtue signaling is the purview of the left. And that's because it has never actually been about protecting the environment, but about harming their enemies.

It's a shame that we simply refuse to force the media into reporting what is happening and allowing us to draw conclusions. Now we get 24 hours of talking heads telling us what we should think, and dividing the country.
